There is alot of great sequels out there actually...The Godfather anyone?? Alot of people think part 2 is better than part 1 ^^, its only with Disney....they are the guilty of bad sequels, they are money grabbers :x but if we are talking Pixar, Toy Story 2 is just as good as the first. And the Pirates of the Caribbean sequels are decent....though they are making a fourth =/

I doubt there would be another Lion King, not sure if I'd be happy about it either...I cant trust Disney, they have went downhill....so much.

I haven't seen the Godfather sequels! :O

But yeah you're right, it does seem that Disney sequels are often not that great. I just think they don't put enough money into them.

:o Really, the both of them are masterpieces, but the 3rd..not so much, there always has to be one

I dont think they care, its the money they are gonna get out of it they are thinking about. I mean, quite recently they have made sequels of Fox and The Hound, Jungle Book and Bambi...now these are movies that were out years ago.
They just insist on ruining every Disney classic because they cant think of anything new.

Yeah I didn't like the sequel of The Fox and The Hound either. It swayed way far away from the original. They just can't seem to get that emotion back that the older films had. Oh well. At least the old ones will be around forever. We can always just ignore the new ones. How did you like SP? I thought it was a good sequel for Disney.

I haven't seen the sequels of The Godfather, but I've seen the first ones.

Im afraid I dont like SP either, I dont think its anything like the 1st movie. It just makes no sense to me, it has too many flaws and I cant enjoy it, I find most of the characters annoying. It shouldnt have messed with the first movie so much, thats what annoys me the most, I mean these outland characters just came outta nowhere and it tried to connect them to Scar....no no no, he died they should have left him out of the story, dont mess with my favorite character! :ehh:
Though its definately not the worst Disney sequel and I quite like the songs, but I cant say much more for it. It just doesnt compare to the first.
There is only The Lion King for me. =)

Oh, I guess you didnt like it much? lol, if you did you should check out part 2...just as epic and it has Robert DeNiro.....all these gods!!

I thought The Godfather was good, I just haven't bought the other ones yet :P

SP did mess with the original story. I don't think it should've done that. It'd be hard to come up with a sequel to The Lion King, there isn't much you can do to make it dissimilar yet as good as the original. In my opinion, they should've made a prequel about Mufasa and Scar as brothers. That would have been a very interesting story. Maybe they didn't do that because The Tale of Two Brothers pretty much covers it.

I think SP was a good movie though, it had similar animation, good backdrops and art, good music, unique story (even if it messed with the original) etc. I think they tried to make cub Kiara too much like cub Simba, but cub Kiara was annoying while cub Simba wasn't. They did a good job with Kovu, but the movie was too short and he turned against his family too soon it seemed. At least they didn't bring Scar back to life or something as crazy.

Ah okay, well you shouldnt be disappointed...just maybe with the 3rd

Yea I wouldnt mind it so much if it didnt mess with the first, they could have made Zira a villainess with no connection to Scar, but some other story they coulda came up with, but they had to confuse people. What do you say Zira's relationship to Scar was? I know most people think of her as his wife, but it doesnt actually state that...thats another thing, they dont make things clear! :$
Yeaaa I agree, a prequel about Mufasa and Scar would be great, I see thats what most people say. I know about the book, but it doesnt have much atall, Im really wanting to see them as cubs and to see what Scar was really like before Mufasa was chosen, and Sarabi and Sarafina included...they could have done so much more. Thats why I said its only the movie for me, I dont like the book either.

Yea, though it tried to imitate the 1st movie in quite a few other scenes aswell, and Simba was trying too hard to be like Mufasa...he was really annoying

Things aren't so clear in SP, are they? I guess the fan community has assumed normalities for stuff that wasn't explained at all. I would say that Zira and Scar were mates. Generally, fans agree that Vitani & Nuka are their cubs. (another thing unstated in SP)

Lol if SP messed with the story, what about TLK1.5? Although that movie was a bit different than SP, they weren't trying to be too serious with it. It had funny parts in it, the usual Timon & Pumbaa. I did like it, but again, I'm not sure why they made it other than to get profit. They went back before Simba's birth, but after that its nothing new.

The prequel would've been the best choice by far instead of both sequels that they made. Scar and Mufasa as cubs would be really cool to see ^^ I agree
