Papers, Please.

If you know what is good for you, you will download this game. It is free for PC and laptop at the moment. But still in Beta, but it's over a third done and there's enough there that it works and is really interesting.
I may make a video explaining and showing this game to you, but the gist is you work as a Russian border patrol processing officer. You need to make sure imigrants have real passports etc and that they aren't y'know, terrorists or smugglers using fake ID stuff.

Starts off simple, admit people who live there, deny those who don't. Gets really complex later on, requiring you to scan, fingerprint, check dates, make sure pictures match, all the information correlates, correct seal of certifications, nothing has expired, whether they have criminal records... Yeahhh it gets pretty in depth. You even have a map to check their country and city are legit.

There are moral choices, as well as whether you think the person is bluffing or telling the truth. You need to process as many people as you can as quick as possible. Because you get more money to pay bills that way. BUT if you let in people who shouldn't do deny people who should be allowed, you loose money so you need to check everything thoroughly but quickly. Also if you let in people who shouldn't be... Well, let's just say you will know about it.

Anyway this game is looking and playing great so far, with a full release in the Summer and is IMO the Indie Game of the Year if not a strong contender!
http://dukope.com/ <---- Check it yo'self! Warning: The game is not yet age rated but I wouldn't be any less than 15... Maybeeee 18 to play it. There is actual terrorism in it, but the graphics are not in any way... Graphic?

Interesting. Is it a Strategy simulation or something like a 3rd or 1st view?

Oh no, nothing like that. I guess you would call it a "simulation" game because you do roleplay a border patrol officer from the 80s. When asked how much the full game will cost the develop said via twitter "Not much." so as you might expect, its not a big budget game.

But it's a little tricky to describe because I've never heard of anything like it, it's just fun and an interesting game IMO, thought I'd share it while it is free.

Not heard of it. I will look it up tomorrow though. Indie games are so cool because they get away with making controversial games like these, great stuff.

"Papers, please" still reminds me of the original Medal of Honor (the 1999 one :P), where there was an Easter egg in the menu where if you wait long enough in one specific menu, you get a short parody video of the "features" in the game, and one of them is to sneak past enemy guards and soldiers.

"Papers, please." *Holds out a small ID book*

I downloaded it yesterday and played it a while before going to bed, and as well played it today several hours in the afternoon. It's pretty fun but it kinda gets boring really fast. I'd say it shouldn't even be worth 10$. But nonetheless it killed my boredom a little bit and also gave me some laughs, such as that dumb guy which keeps comming back all the time with the wrong passport and requirements. Also gotta love that intro theme lol.
