[Closed] Little Stranger (Taraji Chapter 1)

Rahina looked around with her eyes to show Nala that the surrounding was not the one she could talk openly. Silent enough to not let Kopa hear it she answered. "Not really but it is okay for now."

Taraji was a bit cross with Nala and dug herself into the chest fur of Kiara. It was not as much cover as Kovus mane but her head was hidden and so she did not have to see the others anymore. There she was sulking a bit due even the praisal could not fend off that she was a bit angry at Nala.

Laini left her den and walked towards the main den not knowing that Kovu was on his way to get her.

Jamelia smiled at the little cubbie. Those crystal white eyes... The shyness... Taraji was just like Jamelia when she was a cub: Shy, and only trusting her family members. A scene from her cubhood played in her head.

"Hey, look! It's the little Blueberry!" Malachi's son taunted young Jamelia.
"Delicate as a flower, isn't she? Ugly little Dandelion Puff! Blue Puffball!" a female cub began taunting with the male cub. A third cub joined the taunting.
"Aww... look... she's got dew in her eye! Little Dew Drop! Little Dumb Dewey Blueberry! Little Dainty Dandelion!
The little 'dew drops' in Jamelia's ears were tears. "St-Stop calling me names!" she cried.
"How about we play a game?" a female cub asked.
"Game?" Jamelia sniffed.
"Yeah! Lets pretend we're ((cubs except Jamelia)) sweet, nice little kitties... and you're our scratching post!" all of the cubs unsheathed their claws and advanced towards Jamelia.
Jamelia walked backwards, then began to scream "MOMMY! GRANDMA BAHATI! MOMMY!!" she ran as fast as her little legs could carry her.
"Squish Squash! Squish the Blueberry! Ha-ha-ha-ha!"

The laughter faded from Jamelia's head. She didn't know why scenes of her life kept on replaying in her head. She wished it could stop, but they won't. That scene was the reason why Jamelia became shy and untrusting towards other cubs, and adults except her grandmother and mother. ((I'M SO SORRY I'M LATE. I WAS VERY SICK THE PAST WEEK AND I WASN'T ABLE TO KEEP UP! ))

Mila followed Kivuli into the den and immediately made her way over to where Kivuli wanted her to lay. It was nice and close to him, but that thought wasn't such a big deal to her anymore. With the way the two had just spoken to each other on the way over, Mila was certain that it wouldn't be awkward to lay next to him anymore. He obviously liked her.

Mila sat down just in time to hear Nala's jokes about Kivuli. Mila let a few giggles escape her muzzle and looked at Kivuli with a smile when he started to become a bit embarrassed. Nala stopped her humorous comments and smiled behind Kivuli while Mila spoke.

"Hmm, bottomless pit Kivuli? I never thought of you to be the fat type." Mila joked, obviously playing around. All the while she kept her smile glued to her face and the occasional giggle escaped her muzzle as she enjoyed toying with Kivuli.

Daxis looked around after Almasi was gone. His head moved loeft and right and his gaze searched in every corner of the den after Laini. But after he looked in the whole den Daxis was sure Laini was already gone to the meeting. The red amned cub wasn't sure if he should follow Laini to the meeting.
I can ask her at leat. Daxis thought and ran out of the den to find Laini. Maybe he would see Almasi there again. He felt weird when he thought about her at this time but it was a nice feeling. He didn't need much time to catch up with the Golden furred Lioness.
Daxis rushed past her and stopped a few steps in front of her. Can i come with you? Or are cubs not allowed to join?
He waited for an answer and looked smiling at Laini.


Darion perked up his ears and lookd around. He couldn't see someone but his little brother was right there was a cub shouting. He turned his head to mosi and looked a bit more serious. Yes Mosi but don't do anything stupid we have to be carefull here. And please be quite. The bigger Lion started to sneak towards the strange noises.

Kivuli had just gotten comfortable next to Mila when she commented on his eating habits. Then something odd happened. Kivuli started to blush!! He was actually embarrassed and it was showing N..Nala please!! he begged. But the lioness didnt stop there. Just to top it off she gave an almost patronizing pat on his head, which just made the blushing worse and easier to see

From the corner of his eye Kivuli saw Mila laughing away at him. She then made a comment about his past Kivuli looked in disbelief at both mother and daughter Oh come on both of you this is not funny He lay his head on the ground then covered hi head and ears with his paw Geez what is it? 'National embarrass Kivuli day'? His cheeks were still beating bright red from the event

Mosi followed his brother out of the den, he stopped sudenly as he caught a glimps of another cub, a little lioness, he pushed past Darion and straight to the other cub "hi, im Mosi" he told her with a smile

Almasi's shouts were answered by a cub running towards her and frightening her half to death, she extended her claws ready to fight if she had to, she then realized that the cub ment no harm as he kindly introduced himself with a friendly smile, she looked at him and noticed that he didnt look vicious at all "im Almasi" she told him as she smiled back at him "why did you run at me like that" she asked him

Looking over to Rahina, Nala nodded in an understanding fashion. Typically, she would have made an effort to speak with Rahina alone, but the cream colored queen could see that there was no place to have a private conversation at the moment, as both Caine and Shani could still be seen, sitting upon the promontory of Pride Rock, ruling out the possibility of being alone outside the main den. Opting to leave things be for the moment, Nala turned her attention back to Kivuli as she smiled down at the grey furred male, speaking in a more flattering voice this time around.

”Aww, cheer up there Kivuli. At least you manage to keep your perfect physique, regardless of how much you eat, unlike some lions.”

”I heard that Love.” Simba called over to the group as he smiled innocently towards his beloved mate.

Adopting that same cheeky grin she had displayed towards Kivuli moments ago, Nala shot her mate a warm gaze before she politely excused herself from the two pairs of felines she was sitting next to, making her way over to Simba’s side as she took up her usual spot for the upcoming meeting.

Meanwhile, Kiara continued to comfort Taraji as she waited for Kovu to return, her father’s words sparking her curiosity in regards to what the issues of this Pride Meeting would be. Resting her head upon her fore paws as she felt Taraji snuggling in as close as she could get to her, Kiara hoped that Taraji might fall asleep, this way, preventing her from any unpleasantness that might come up once everyone was present for the meeting.

Now that Nala had moved off, Kopa returned his focus to his precious lioness as he nuzzled her lovingly and spoke quietly to her.

”So this is what it’s like to be in a Pride, huh Hina? Seems like a lot of work if you ask me. Things just seemed so much simpler back when we were alone in our oasis home. What do you think of pride life?”

Kivuli just sniggered at Nala's comment. Kivuli remembered those days. Him and his two friends always found a way to have some fun even though they were in the reign of Scar. It never stopped them. Nala was also right about the food. The trio could devour a zebra in minutes. Kivuli could even take half on a real hungry day. Yet non of them lost their good physical conditions. Maybe that meat in the den was in danger of being devoured

Nala and Kivuli's talk was interrupted by Simba. Kivuli couldn't help but chuckle at Nala's sly comment about the king. He then turn to Mila and asked in a joking manner If I did get fat would you still want to spend time with me? As he waited for Mila's reply, Simba and Nala had settled down. Kivuli turned his head towards Simba and asked So we about ready to start this meeting Simba? Or are there still many to come?

Laini had no clue if cubs were allowed or not due she never really paid attention to the other lions during the meeting. "Well... I guess if you behave yourself and keep silent there will be no problem..."she suggested and hoped Simba would not kick him out.

Slowly she advanced towards the main den and entered it as silent as possible. She looked for a spot in the shadows of a corner a bit away from all the other lions and finally managed to find one. Even if there was no pelt she just stretched herself out and waited for the meeting to begin.

Taraji soon started to breath slowly and rythmically. She purred silently and snuggled deeper into the fur of Kiara. This day had been pretty exhausting and sleep grasped the small cub and led it into the darkness of the slumber and... a slowly into a dream...

Rahina smiled at Kopa. She had no clue where Kopa meant it was more work here. Maybe for him it was. For Rahina it was a bit less stress due she knew that she would not have to hunt every day if she was not in form. Even more in her state it was rather reassuring to have lionesses like Nala who she could count on for advise and help.
On the other hand she too missed their private time at the oasis and their own land. But there was nothing that could help it yet. Rahina still thought about the oasis a lot but in her mind she somehow already accepted that she would not be able to return there. Maybe this was also because she was baring a cub. She would never think of risking the life of a cub in the unsafe jungle with all the rogues around and only Kopa to protect her and the cub. Not that she was daubting Kopas cappability but she had seen the disadvantage of living alone with Kopa at the moment the rogues had raided their home.

"Some things lost but some things gained or not honney?" she whispered and softly licked his cheeks. She did not want her sad memories to return now where she barely managed to drive them away. She tried to focus on the meeting that was soon to begin and her one and only mate that she was so proud off and so happy to be together again.

Jamelia sighed deeply. She truly wished she could gain Taraji's trust, and wishes Taraji can open up to Jamelia more. The pale furred lioness didn't know why Jamelia was so skittish, frightened, and shy. If Jamelia did know why, she wouldn't blame Taraji's actions; she would be too soft-hearted to say that any of it was her fault. Jamelia wasn't finished healing her wounds, so she padded at the herbs again. It took her about 30 seconds for her to completely use the herbs up. In a matter of seconds, the pain in her paws was gone. Not only that, but the whole paw pad went numb. Jamelia wasn't startled at the numbing of per paws. Hmm… these must work very well if my paws went completely numb. Hmm… Even though I can't feel them, it still would be wise to wait because they're not healed completely... The herbs just killed the pain. Jamelia didn't have anything else to do, so she rolled to her side and made an attempt to fall asleep.
