"Umarus." Aidyn stated flatly; it hurt, but he didn't want to break down-not in front of Elwyna and Ewyn. He looked up at the boy that joined the girl approaching them,"Neither do we. What do you want?" The girl gave him a scrutinizing look, she appeared young, fifteen or sixteen, and her eyes really startled him. They were pale yellow and flecked with green, but they were so pale, paler than any he's eve seen.
"I'm heading for Edoras, do you know where it is?"

"Worry not. The orcs will pay for what they have done. We will make sure of that" Maranwe assured nobody in particular, but hoped they would take comfort from her words.

"Edoras? I know it well. I was born there and still live there today" She said, thinking of her beautiful homeland.

Maranwe knew Edoras like the back of her hand and would die to defend it and her Lady Eowyn who she worshipped and doted upon. There was nothing she wouldn't do for Rohan. Nothing.

"Yes, ma'am, do you where I can find it?" Celina was growing a little impatient, a terrible trait of her personality. Wulf seemed to have a sixth sense of what she was feeling and gripped her forearm as she clenched her fists, then whispered for her to tell the patrol her business. "I'm in need of supplies for a quest," she obeyed, albeit a little grudgingly.

"Follow us. I am taking these people to the refuge of Edoras" She said.

"If you plan on stealing or harming our city however, I will remove your hand myself" She said, not unkindly, but there was a hint of warning in her voice.

She looked over her shoulder at the others before turning back to the fields ahead. She could make out the torches of the city in the distance now. It wasn't much further. Soon they'd all be warm and safe from those damned orcs roaming the wilds.

Celina gave the girl's back a sharp look. "I have no intention of stealing anything human or elvish," she stated and pushed forward.
***************
Aidyn sighed with relief as he sighted torches, flames flickering in the dimming light. "Are we almost there?" Elwyna's soft question startled him. He gave her a smile,"Yes, we'll be safe there." Elwyna nodded and Brygid gave him a small smile as he caught her eye when he turne to look forward. "What?"
"I'm glad we found you, I missed you."
Aidyn shrugged, feeling embarrassed as the girl who had joined their group most recently turned and gave him an odd look, dark brown curls bouncing untidily. "I missed you too," he said finally, eliciting a gagged noise from Amber, who'd been so quiet he'd almost forgotten she was there. He rolled his eyes in unison with Brygid, then studied the newcomers. The girl was short and shapely, with long legs and toned muscles. She wore hard leather greaves, a hard leather bodice, and leather leggings. A short sword, the likes of which he'd never seen, was strapped to her back, and she carried a somewhat small, round shield in her left hand. She walked quickly, matching Maranwe's horse's pace, and cast suspicious seeming glances around.
The two boys that were with her were tall, some six inches larger than himself. The broader built of the two dressed in a tunic and leggings, or traditionally, and his black hair was short. The other boy wore similar clothing, had a hunting knife strapped across his waist, and wore his hair halfway to his shoulders and unorganized. The first boy seemed cold and hard, while the second was at ease, talking leisurely to the girl.

"Then we shan't have a problem them" Maranwe told Celina sharply.

She turned her attention back to the castle and could now make out the guards standing at the tower. At their approach, one came running down the steps to greet the party. The man wore chain mail, clung to a shield and a dwarven sword lay down his side.

"Maranwe? Who are all these people?" He asked the girl he recognized at the front to the party.

"Citizens of a village burnt by orcs. They wish to speak to Lady Eowyn, seeing as the king is sick and unable to give his council" Maranwe said, her last words sad.

"Of course. Just be sure to unarm them if you take them near the royal family" He said, glancing at each of the people suspiciously.

"Don't worry Hadvar, I shall" Maranwe said with a curt nod before moving her horse forward through the gates.

"Follow me" She called to the travellers.

Aidyn followed obediently, leading Brygid's horse by the bit. The Capitol was smaller than he'd expected-Umaras had been bigger, but it had also been a major trading town. The buildings were tradional, wood with tall pointed roofs. The castle wasn't especially large, but it was well-built. Several guards were by the door and Maranwe handing her horse off to them after dismounting. Aidyn instructed the others to follow her example and he handed the horses reigns to the other grooms that stepped up to take them.
Maranwe gestured for them to disarm themselves. Aidyn dropped his scythe on the ground, Brygid's bow followed, then Ewyn's crossbow, and Elwyna and Amber's daggers. The more savage boy dropped his large hunting knife then elbowed what Aidyn guessed was his brother. The dark haired boy gave Maranwe then Aidyn hard looks then dropped his double-sided axe. The girl pulled her sword out of its sheath and examined it, looking from its shining blade to the people surrounding her as if to weigh the odds of attacking them. Eventually she knelt and set it carefully on the ground. Now he got a good loom at it her sword seemed a mix between dwarvish and El vish, elegant yet savage. She dropped her shield, unsheathed the daggers that were strapped to her thighs, then the throwing kni es in her boots and greaves, which she removed next due to the claws sewn on at the knuckles and the blades on the sides of her greaves.
Aidyn gave her a look as she gave Maranwe a nearly invisible smirk,"Lead on."

"It's just for security" Maranwe said as she looked at their faces of annoyance.

It was procedure to un-arm yourself when standing infront of the king or queen. There had been many a time in the past when men had tried to slay the king when in his council. So better to be safe than sorry, all persons were to unarm themselves. Even Maranwe had to give up her sword. She would have been excued by Eowyn, but she thought she'd better set an example. She nodded as Aidyn told her to lead on.

"Have you been to Edoras before?" She asked him.

Aidyn nodded. "Once, when I was very young-I remember it being bigger," he gave Maranwe a smile then flinched as Brygid cleared her throat. "I'm Aidyn, I don't think I've told you, this is Brygid, my betrothed, her sister, Amber, and my sister and brother, Elwyna and Ewyn." He gestured towards each person he named in turn and rolled his eyes as Ewyn smiled cheekily at Maranwe.

(OOC: Could do I guess =3 Make them turn up in the morning or something)

Maranwe nodded to each of them in turn as they were introduced. She ignored Ewyn's cheeky smile, but felt rather amused somewhat.

"And I am Maranwe. Lady Eowyn's steward and protector" She explained before turning towards the steps that led up to the castle.

She hoped Eowyn was still awake and that Theoden had been escorted to his room. He was a ghastly sight to look upon these days since Saruman had poisoned the mind of the king. Eomer had been exiled too much to her sadness. Her and Eomer had got along famously and were it not for her loyalty to Eowyn she would have ridden out with him. Sighing, she pushed open the doors and thankfully, Theoden was not there. She looked back at the travellers.

"All clear, come along. Help yourselves to food on the table and I will go and find Lady Eowyn" she told them, gesturing towards a table of food in the corner.
