Thani, my boyfriend, has Asperger syndrome. He has "help" by living in a house, and sometimes he has those typical "fits" than you can't reach him and he's all by himself. But he is really honest, pure and the sweetest guy I ever knew. He might be a complex person, but I love him with all my heart and it's wonderfull that he opened his vulnerable heart that was hurted by so many people who bullied and humiliated him, to me.

Aaaaand....I work with autistic people with mental disabilities. I help them in daily tasks, and do their finance. I really love the job, and thus I know a lot about autism. If you want to know something about autism or Asperger syndrome, just ask me, or Thani!

My best friend is autistic. It's sad to watch him try to do things that are not going to be possible. But he know he is, and he accepts it, he doesn't like it when people worry about him too much. Right now he is 18, and lives his life the best he can.

It's really brave if you have autism and you are able to accept it. It must feel like a bomb in your face when you hear you have autism.
I know that a lot of autistic people have daily issues they struggle with, in the knowledge they'll never be fully able to deal with those.

It took me YEARS to accept the fact that I was different neruologically then other people. And you know, people with autism, CAN outgrow the traits, especially if they go through cognitive therapy and those things.

I just want to say thanigraphics, you are very kind and understanding to be dating with someone on the spectrum. :)
And just willing to just stick with him. :D

That is very good to know. It's good to see someone with autism have someone that they can get a lot of help from. :)

That is because I have judged him by who he is, and not by what he is. but thanks for saying that :D
The funny fact is, that in the beginning, thani and me had a difficult time in understanding each other. I decided to explain everything, because I saw he did not understood it when I just got angry. He's a very intelligent person and he learned to recognize and explain his feelings too, something he was unable to in years, just because nobody gave him the chance. He was seen as a difficult and complex person, and that was all. But he made so much progress, he even opened my eyes about my traits too. He's the only person who's able to bring a smile on my face, no matter how I feel.
He told me about his daily struggle, he has suffered from depression and he had 2 psychosis, so he is pretty vulnerable (no big crowds and no loud music) but I think he's the bravest guy I've ever met, just fighting trough every day, never giving up.
When I ask him how he keeps tracking along, he just answers "well, I have no other option than going on, haven't I?"

This week I am taking him to a 4**** hotel in Germany. Just to let him know I love him. And yeah, he deserves it, beeing such a wonderfull boyfriend. He sacrifices so much to be a good boyfriend, he's a fighter. And fighters will alway win, no matter what.
