The Fan Artist of the Week #8 contest Voting is now open. As always, everyone is allowed, and encouraged to vote: the more the better! Voting thread can be found here. A few of you were having troubles with your character thumbnails (but no one told me). That error has been fixed. Notify me if there are any problems with the FAA, because as I've said before, the entire FAA is still in beta phase and some things aren't done and some things simply don't work.

I have incorporated a new rating system into the FAA. It seems to work pretty good, but if anyone is having issues please tell me ASAP. As with all new features, it still needs lots of work - but, I encourage everyone to start rating artwork. I also encourage people to go back into older artworks and rate those as well. Future features might include: changing the artwork shown in the FAA index to "newest and most popular", artists can disable ratings if they want, combining the two 5 star blocks as one (hopefully), etc.

I've been wanting to do something like this for a long time. With the new 5 star rating system, it was finally possible. At the home page of the FAA, you will notice several changes. The most obvious being: it shows the most popular pictures as default. It computes which pictures are most popular by the average star rating (soon will be taking faves, number of hits, and number of comments into consideration for more accurate popularity). You can also set time periods to choose from: Today, This week, month, year and all time. I will say again, I would highly encourage everyone to search deep in their favorite artists' albums and rate their artwork so the oldies can be rated fairly with the new art. Without everyone's help with rating, the most popular pictures are hard to discover!

Hello everyone. I'm just posting this update so everyone is aware that I am still updating the home page of the FAA. Some things may not work or display correctly for about a week. I like to do updates on a "live" basis so that others can see them and give their input and how they like it. If you have anything to say, drop a comment on my to-do list.
