Rafiki let out a tolerant chuckle at Ashur's sudden change from polite submission to sour agression. He knew that it was just the pain and discomfort of the young lion's situation that made him act this way. Having had time to examine the wound, Rafiki knew what to do. Fortunately the bone didn't seem to be completely broken, or Ashur would be in far more pain. There might be a small fracture, but there was no way to tell the difference between that and a bad bruise until Ashur began to heal.

"Yes little lion, I will." Rafiki said, producing one of the herbs that he'd brought with him. "Eat dis herb. It will send you into a healing sleep. I wish for you to be put to sleep before I tend to your leg," he continued in a sorrowful voice "or the medicines I use will cause you very great pain. When you wake up tomorrow, if we are lucky, you may be able to stand."

Rafiki moved his hand towards Ashur's mouth, offering the sleeping herb.

Ashur opened his mouth wide and gulped down the herb. He gave a disgusted face as it touched his taste buds. What was this monkey trying to do, poison him? Ashur then regretted thinking that, and soon to begin feeling very drowsy. His eye lids felt like that they had weighed a ton. Ashur's eyes began to close slowly.. he yawed layed down the most comfy position that his leg allowed, and fell into a deep, deep sleep.

Rafiki gazed down benevolently at the young lion that had just drifted off into a deep and painless sleep. He didn't waste too muchtime though before he got back down to business. He began to chew on a second herb, grinding it up between his teeth and adding a small amount of his own saliva to form a thick paste. He then spread the ointment over Ashur's injury, happy that he'd accepted the sleeping medicine. If he'd been awake he probably would have cried out, but this way Rafiki could tend to the wounds without worrying about such distractions. He then proceeded to add a second, and a third layer of medicines on top of the first that would encourage healing and dull the pain even when Ashur woke up.

Having done all he could, Rafiki rose up from his place at Ashur's side. The Great Kings willing, he would be at least able to walk by morning, although it would likely be two days until he could handle any strenuous running. Rafiki moved unobtrusively over to sit next to Simba, who was also slightly isolated from the action in the den. He took a seat cross legged beside his king and placed one arm on Simba's shoulder.

"Ahh my friend" He said "It pains me to see dat dere are so many injures in your pride in recent times. Do you wish dat I remain here to attend your meeting?"

Having watched Rafiki attending to Ashur’s injury among other things within the main den, Simba smiled warmly at his old friend as the wise mandrill took a seat next to him. Thinking for a moment, Simba shook his head as he replied in a gracious voice.

”That won’t be necessary Rafiki. You’ve already done more than enough for the pride in these past few days and I know you must have other matters to attend to. I would however, like for you to please keep a watch over the pride during the next few moons if you could and thank you my friend.”

Giving Rafiki a friendly hug with a fore leg, Simba bowed politely to the crafty shaman as he knew that Rafiki understood what he was talking about, as he had filled him in on the details of the pride meeting when they had been walking back to Pride Rock. Before the clever mandrill could take his leave however, Simba asked him one last departing question.

”How long do you think Ashur will be out for and would it be best to keep him here for the night, just to keep a watch over him while he recovers?”

Daxis laughed but stopped and looked confused at her. He blushed quickly and looked away at Laini behind him to hide his blushed face.
Well.... i think .. i have to stay here.. with Laini... because of.. the.. meeting.. you know. But i hope we can meet after it again
He never felt this way since his mother and father banished him from his home. Daxis was so happy in this moment he could never think about anything bad at this time.

--------------------
Darion looked dwn to his little brother with a understandable gaze. Yes i understand you... but don't you like to play with your big brother
He started to growl playfully again but the blonde maned lion knew Mosi won't play with him. He said what he wanted to do but Darion didn't know how to help him with it.
I think i can't help you with this. .... I have a question... In your confrontation with this big lion.... did you feel .... he was a guy you could trust?

Rafiki smiled into Simba's mane and thumped him on the back. "Always my friend." Rafiki said reassuringly, renewing his promise to help the pridelanders wherever he could. He stepped back as Simba let go, and returned the polite bow. He was about to take his leave when Simba asked him one final question.

"I imagine you couldn't move Ashur with ten lions at dis point." he replied with a laugh. "He will have to stay here; he won't be waking up anytime soon. De medicine should wear off some time in de early morning, and by that time he will be well enough to tell you what his needs are on his own. I must suggest for him not to go on any crazy adventures for at least two days. Good afternoon Simba." he finished, and was on his way again.

Rafiki traveled back to his home at a leisurely pace, enjoying the late-afternoon heat. He pondered the pride's situation as he walked. There were signs that trouble lay ahead. With all the new characters entering the pridelands it was only a matter of time before some of them clashed violently. Unfortunately there was nothing Rafiki could think of to help at the moment. He had to trust in Simba's judgment as he had trusted in Mufasa's so many times in the past.

Taraji tried to reach a safe place behind Kiara but did not succeed. Like Nala before Kiara was now showing her the cold shoulder. Taraji tried to crawl under Kiara and snuggled against her but gave up after a few tries. She perked over her shoulder to Jemalia while she still was snuggled up against Kiara. Her big eyes scanned the lioness and her breath and heartbeat were ran very fast.

Slowly she calmed down a bit but still did not let any sound emit her muzzle. She just stared at Jemalia with her big crystal eyes and slightly shivered while her breath slowed down with each breath of air.

Rahina felt really stupid and looked away until Kopa directly addressed her. She looked up to him and the blood went into her head. "Well... I guess we should go to the meeting. It would be rather rude if we would not show up, wouldn't it?"

Rahina raised to her paws and softly nudged Kopa before she whispered in his ear. "I really have to talk to you after that darling." With this said she slowly moved towards pride rock. She was a bit happy that Kopa had found her. She did not know if she would have gone back by herself anytime soon.

Giving the departing mandrill one last respectful gesture, Simba turned his attention to where Ashur lay. Moving up on his paws, the caring king moved in and took hold of one of the ends of the sleeping pelt that the sedated lion was resting upon, gently dragging it towards the back of the den to prevent Ashur from being hit by the chilly night air that would surely be present within a few hours or so. Once he had the medicated feline situated comfortably, Simba returned to his spot at the center of the den, going over the rest of the night’s agenda in his mind as he waited for everyone to arrive, giving a warm smile over to Jamelia as he sat there. Simba could see that there was something going on over at that part of the den and didn’t wish to interrupt matters, so he stayed put and melded over his own thoughts for the time being.

Seeing Taraji’s insistent fear and refusal to introduce herself to Jamelia, Kiara looked apprehensively at her mother for help. Nala on the other paw, knew what was in order. Knowing that there was nothing to be afraid of from Jamelia’s presence, the cream colored queen moved in and gently picked Taraji up by her nape, moving her forward a few paces so she was about a paws length away from where the older lioness was resting, before she set the shy little cub down and spoke firmly to her.

”Taraji, you are going to have to learn that not everyone is out to hurt you and you are safe among your pride. Being a part of a pride is a very special thing but it only works if you do your part too. Being part of a pride means that you show respect and be polite to your fellow pride members. Jamelia is friendly and won’t hurt you. She’s been polite and introduced herself, so you need to do the same.”

Gently placing a paw under Taraji’s chin, lifting it so that the crystal eyed cub made eye contact with Jamelia, Nala waited for Taraji to do what was asked of her, all the while, Kiara looked on, hoping that her mother knew what she was doing.

==========

Lovingly running his head under Rahina’s chin to show his affection towards his one and only lioness in life, Kopa nodded as he slowly started to make his way back towards Pride Rock, responding in a loving tone to his mate’s comment as he did so.

”Of course my precious. There should be plenty of time for us to talk once this meeting is over I’m sure. I have no idea how long these things typically last but I assume it couldn’t be too long, could it?”

Keeping close to his beloved mate, lightly brushing his body against hers with each step they took, Kopa was just happy to be with his precious lioness once again. Even for the short time they had been apart, Kopa hadn’t felt whole. Without his beloved Rahina by his side, he wasn’t himself and now that she was with him once again, his mind felt at ease and everything seemed perfect again. Little did Kopa know the news that Rahina had in store for him.

It didn’t take very long until the love struck pair reached the majestic structure. Taking lead, Kopa ascended the slope leading up to the main den, glancing over his shoulder at his mate before disappearing into the large abode. Upon entering, Kopa picked out a spot where he and his precious mate could sit, which was on the opposite side to where Nala, Taraji, Kiara and Jamelia were positioned at. Seeing as they were one of the first to arrive for the scheduled meeting, Kopa made himself comfortable as he patted a fore paw next to him upon the soft sleeping pelt, encouraging his precious lioness to come and join him.

Seeing both Kopa and Rahina entering the main den, Simba smiled fondly towards the pair as he addressed Rahina in a friendly fashion.

”Everything okay Rahina?”

As Kivuli went to join Mila he had a smile on his face Finally I can be with Mila, and Simba is ok with it. Nala was right. You just need to get on his good side Kivuli thought. As Kivuli joined Mila, he sat down next to her and looked into her deep blue eyes with his firey red ones. They just seemed to gaze at each other for a while before Kivuli spoke How are you feeling after yesterday? They didnt get you too bad did they?

Kivuli and Mila's moment was interrupted by a voice behind them. It was Kovu saying that the pride meeting was about to begin Fine we will be there soon Kivuli stood up and looked at Mila We should head off and wait back in the den. If you want I can take you on evening hunt after. I still owe you one if I remember Kivuli stood in place and waited patiently for Mila
