A Look In My Eyes

Bandhura stepped with Craig and her grey fur was warmed by the sunlight, she watched the forest come alive as they passed through it. The rain and storm last night only seeming to be a small stepping stone for Bandhura and Craig, they apparoached a rushing river. It was wide but at the deeper end a large old log seemed to cross it, she pointed with her snout. "It doesn't look sturdy.." she said lifting her paws atop it shaking it slightly.

Craig got on the log anyway. He went across and made it. "Come on it is fine. You can do it. You are not scared are you?" Craig joked.

Bandhura watched Craig run over the log and she gulped slightly, she leapt up to it. She felt the log get shaky under her as she stepped across it, "Craig..." she muttered and felt herself get wobbly. Bandhura started to panick and her nails dug into the hollow log.

"Hold on!" Craig walked across getting wobbly. He got to Bandhura and tried to pick her up. "Just slide across ok?" He nudged Bandhura trying to get her to slide across. Suddenly the log began to wobble and move again. "Hold on Bandhura!"

Bandhura felt the log cave under her weight as Craig stepped upon the log, "Go back!" she cried. She watched him step back and she leapt forward and felt the log give way. She reached the bank and felt the lower half of her body get wet and she got pulled down, she panicked and pulled her body up. She laid on the dirt breathing heavily, her eyes closed tightly.

Craig got Bandhura across. He nuzzled her to make her feel okay. "It is okay it is all over with. Come on we got a long journey ahead of us." Craig continued on. It was then he spotted a grizzly bear right in their path. "Bandhura what do we do?" He was worried at this sight.

"Well..hold on.." she said softly and was nuzzled by Craig. Her honey colored eyes gazed up at Craig and she wondered curiously. A smile crossed her snout and she stood to her paw stepping forward lightly, she saw the grizzy. "We can take the back way over the small rock ledge.." she said pointing with her snout. She dipped around the side of the grizzly and quickly ran to the ledge.

Craig followed Bandhura. Unfortunately however he got a little close to the grizzly bear and it him with its paw and he fell down on the ground. It came close to him ready to strike. He loooked away ready for the end. I am going to die now...he thought.

-An arrow shot across the ravine and sunk itself into the bears left shoulder-

You're not getting out THAT easy!!.. slurred George, stricken by madness and malnutrition.

He primed another arrow in his bow, aiming it at Craig

Bandhura glanced back and noticed the arrow hit the grizzly, "What the.." she whispered as she looked for the hunter. She dipped her body low by the rocks and looked at Craig, "Craig, run!" she yelled to him. She looked at the Grizzy and Craig and she knew the hunter was out there somewhere, she let out a heavy side and leapt past the Grizzly towards Craig.
