Intelligent. For example, if I'm going in to fight a giant dragon to rescue a princess from the castle, that'd make me brave, but I'm most likely going to get eaten because I'm not intelligent. I might not be brave enough to try it otherwise, but at least I'm smart enough to figure out what else I can do.
