Apparently, lots of people (including myself) aren't really a fan of spiders. However, according to a newly discovered spider species we might have to change our minds about spiders and actually give them more credit then they deserve.

Who would have thought spiders are intelligent enough to create eight legged dummies of themselves to fool bugs and even other spiders? It almost looks like they are self-conscious. What's next? Spiders on roller skates or what?

Interesting possible defence mechanism. I'm not entirely convinced it was a new species though... Why pictures of the dummy but not the unknown species responsible for creating it?
It dangles the web to make it look alive? They would have had to have seen that to know it so why no picture of it? ugh and stuff

The "dummy" version doesn't look that much of a spider to me.
