You all probably knew this topic was coming with how often I watch these shows. And yes, they have both become favourites of mine.
Grey's Anatomy
Grey's Anatomy follows the lives of surgical interns, the main character being Meredith Grey, and their journey to become surgeons. It started out with the 5 first interns; Meredith, Alex, George, Izzie and Cristina (M.A.G.I.C.) who's resident was Dr. Bailey, which at time was the toughest resident around. Since then the show and characters have developed, which now makes the main characters surgeons with their own interns. The show itself is a medical drama show, and yes, there is lots of drama. Every episode has at least one medical case where the doctors have to diagnose and treat the patients. The show is now in it's 9th season.
Private Practice
At the end of the first season of Grey's Anatomy, the character Addison Montgomery came in and she stayed for 2 seasons until her character moved from Seattle to LA and joined a practice. This show follows Addison's new life, as well as her new coworkers lives. Unlike Grey's Anatomy, which basically only includes surgeons, Private Practice has characters who are pediatricians, psychiatrists, physicians, etc.
The show aired it's final episode just this month, and lasted for 6 years.
I am personally a big fan of both. Shonda Rhimes (the creator of both shows) sure knows how to pull at your heartstrings.
So does anyone else watch it? Got any opinions?
Sorry I suck at explaining things...
