We press play, don't press pause.
Progress, march on.
With the veil over our eyes,
we turn our back on the cause.
'Till the day that my uncles can be united by law,
when kids are walking 'round the hallway plagued by pain in their heart.
A world so hateful some would rather die than be who they are.
And a certificate on paper isn't gonna solve it all,
but it's a good place to start.

That is one nice rig.

It kinda makes me hate the fact that I don't have an LED backlight on my keyboard, and that I only have two monitors (one of which isn't even connected to this PC at the moment). Little things, but they make a bit of a difference.

Thanks. Most of this stuff was gifted to me by one of my best friends, otherwise I'd have a mediocre setup. The keyboard is nice, and normally back lighting isn't a problem but I game in the dark.

Yep, me too. I can still see the keys because the monitor lights up the room, but still... it's more about aesthetics than anything.

I assume you use eyefinity with that? If so, how do you deal with switching back and forth between two different screens in windows, and one big screen for gaming? And is the TV connected to your PC as well?

I actually don't turn off Eyefinity for general usage, I make the windows just big enough for each monitor, like this:

If I just hit the maximize button I get this with eyefinity enabled:

It's too much work to disable eyefinity and then re-enable for gaming, so I make do with this.

Also, yes, my TV can be hooked up to my PC, but it's not plugged in at the moment. The HDMI cable is coming in the mail on Tuesday.

I see. There's been a few times when I really wished I hate more screen space, and I've tried it out before, but I really just don't like it. I never thought to control the window size individually though. xP

Still, that wouldn't work with fullscreen videos and such. I've got around the problem by hooking up an old computer to my second monitor for video streaming, the only problem with that is that it's rather inefficient.

But, if you have your TV hooked up there, you might be able to do something interesting. Let me know how you decide to hook everything up. :)

So... Much... Wasted... Potential...

But you know me, I use Linux.

I see that rig and I just can't help think of all the wasted watts going into that thing. Oh well, to each his own I guess. :P

Not everyone's parents put a watt limiter on their computer. :P

It's not like electricity isn't dirt cheap. If you can afford an Intel CPU, the the extra power required to overclock it shouldn't even be a slight concern.

The difference between a 300 watt computer and a 600 watt computer is that the latter costs 3 cents more per hour to run. And that's only at full load.

^ It's a private joke between us. Awali knows that I am watt limited, and I know how to really get the most of what you have.

Awali's attitude is "I'm gonna make my computer look cool" while mine is "my computer's performance makes it cool."

I fact, I just about forbade Awali from getting the lights for his rig, but he went broken arrow and disobeyed my orders.

My computer is cool because it's my computer, and I built it myself.

It isn't that cool, it's just *my* computer from the bottom up. I think you know what I mean by that.
