The clonewars contained so much massacre and death, that it almost surpassed the violence of the past wars faced in the galaxy. The Seperatists would not be given diplomatic leave, so they took methods into their own hands. The Republic refused to let them just break off, and so started one of the greatest wars in galactic history.
Among the effected were most predominantly the civilians of these planets, and the Jedi Order. The Jedi, preaching their self-righteousness in every aspect of their actions, were sent to places like Yavin four, and Hoth to protect what little civilians remained unaffected by the war. Even during these times of hardship however, life moved on as normal for those unaffected by the war on planets like Corruscant.
As of now, the Senate square was filled with many creatures of different species and planets. A meeting was just held where they voted more troops to be sent to Hoth and Tatooine. One senator in particular was sitting up in his office at the moment. He was a Cathar and quite a wealthy one at that. He wore spectacular purple robes that turned heads where ever he went. Since that wasn't always a good thing, he had his own Jedi Guardian assigned to him.
Her name was Jedi Knight Lira Karko. She too was a Cathar, by choice of the senator, and she was a knight of the republic. Much of her training took place in her childhood as she was brought in as an orphan. Lira's eyes were green and quite feline looking, as most of her race were. She also had thick black hair she always liked to keep short. Like most Jedi, she wore brown robes with white clothing beneath it. She currently stood in front of his office, making sure no one could get in without the proper clearance.
Lira was standing in front of the room, her guard unwavering as she watched other individuals walk by the door. It was much later in the day, so most individuals had gone home, save a few clones that walked around keeping their eyes out for trouble makers.
Entering the Senate's meeting building was a dark robed figure now. One might assume that he was Sith, but his aura was not one of aggression or hatred. A clone stepped up to stop the hooded figure, holding his hand out. "Sorry chief, the building is closed. We'll need to see some clearance before you go any further." the clone said, his voice being stern and calm.
The dark robed figure simply reached out his hands to the two clones and pushed them both to opposite sides of the room using the force. This knocked the both of them out almost instantly. The figure continued to make his way through the building. It didn't take long for him to find what he was looking for, as he could sense the darkness of one's affinity. He stopped in front of the door with a Cathar guard.
"I am Lira Karko of the Jedi Order. You may not know, but it is not the time to be meeting the Senator. Come back when you've made an appointment." she said in a firm tone. She already noticed his robes were not of a Jedi, and yet she sensed no darkness from him.
"The Senator has been stealing from the Republic and has been suggesting sending troops to planets that would benefit him. He must be killed." the man before her said silently. She could not clearly see the top half of his face under his robes, but she did notice something around his eyes. Her stance did not falter.
"You are a Miraluka. There are not many of you around anymore. Usually, you try to blend in...but here you are, storming a restricted area, wearing borderline sith clothing and without stealth at that! Your arrogance is astounding." she said silently as she gripped at her silver handled saber and activated it. The saber was a cyan blue.
"It is not arrogance. It is what must be done. I sense doubt in you. You know that he has been doing this, and you continue to protect him?"
"It is not my duty to destroy him. If you have proof, you must bring him down through the courts. What you are suggesting is a Sith way of thinking." Lira growled silently. She didn't like it when anyone got into her head.
"Only a Sith deals in absolutes." he stated silently as he activated his own black handled saber. When it hummed to life, its orange light contrasted with Lira's as it made contact with her's.
"You will not get into this room." Lira hissed, her face inches from his.
With that, the two of them began to strike at one another. The stranger was using Soresu form, while Lira was using Ataru. With each attack Lira came at him with, the stranger parried. Eventually, the robed figure simply used the force to throw Lira off balance. She dropped her saber not too far from the stranger. The robed figure approached the non-active saber on the floor, and used his own saber to cut it in half.
He deactivated his own saber, and placed it back on his belt. Lira snarled as she jumped at him with her fists this time. The robed figure grabbed her by the arms, preventing her from doing pretty much anything.
"What are you?!" she snapped.
"I am not Sith, and I am not Jedi. I am an emissary of balance. Both the Republic and the Seperatists are corrupt...you don't need a different system...just to cut out the corruption." he stated simply as he force pushed the Cathar across the room. He made his way to the door and activated his saber again, opening it by cutting his way through.
"How dare you! I am a Senator, you can't just barge in like that! Wait till the Jedi order hears about this!" he snarled as he stood.
"Senator Zaro. I know about your corruption. No one is going to save you now." the figure said grimly as he reached out his hand and began to force choke the Senator.
"Wh-What? No! No!" The Senator coughed, trying to get a breath of air to no avail.
"NO!" Lira snarled as she finally managed to get up. It was too late as the stranger had then crushed the Senator's windpipe.
"You will not leave Corruscant!" Lira snarled as she used the force to grab his saber off his belt and ran at him. Unfortunately just because he wasn't neither Jedi or Sith did not mean that he didn't know of their teachings. A spark of lightning escaped his hand, and began to shock the Cathar. She screamed in agony as she dropped the saber.
Once she was on the floor again, falling into unconsciousness the figure leaned down to her. "Do not let your passions rule you. That is what made you fail your job today." he said simply. He then stood and began to make his way out.
