I absolutely hated this movie. It's probably my least favourite film alongside Alpha and Omega. I can deal with gore pretty well actually, but the spilling of cats' guts? Cats mating? Cats being tortured? And all of it occurring frequently throughout the whole movie? I thought it was disgusting and the plot was just... weird. I'm sure the book probably executes the plot a lot better though lol. So I definitely will not be watching this ever again :yuck:
Over exaggerating a bit, eh? I'd like to see how you'd take an actually mentally disturbing film like Requiem for a Dream. Felidae is disturbing for a cartoon, but no where near the most disturbing thing that I've ever seen. And with that said, I think that it's a very good film. I liked the plot, and the way it resolved a lot. The gore was a bit much sometimes, but it worked well, and it blended into the movie pretty well. As Jiirani says, all of the stuff in that movie is reflecting on stuff that really happens in life.
Alright, alright, yeesh :ugh: I don't like it personally, but if this movie floats your boat then more power to you. It's just not the type of thing I'd like to see in an animated movie, especially since it involves cats. I obviously love cats and hated seeing the brutality towards them in particular. I also watched it when I was relatively young (about 12 I think it was) so it had more of an effect on me. And yes, I know some of it occurs in real life but I'd rather see a documentary about it if anything rather than see it in an animated movie. I will say the plot is probably one of the most unique I've ever seen but I'd rather read the books like I said. And if the violence isn't against animals I can tolerate it a lot more, so maybe I'll check out Requiem one of these days :P

So I just watched this movie last night, and I have to say it was pretty intense. Very brutal. I liked it. In some places it was clear that something had been skipped over, so I think I'll have to read the books sometime, though I think I'd have done that after watching at some point anyway.

The movie is gory as all hell and it's pretty twisted but I like it well enough.
