I know there's a lot of youngsters here so this may not apply to you.
Does anyone remember a primetime show that aired on NBC years ago called 'Father of the Pride'. It's basically about a family of lions and their friends at the Siegfried and Roy exhibit in Las Vegas. This is from Dreamworks, the same company that made 'Shrek'. It originally aired in 2004. I used to watch this constantly when I got home from college on Tuesday nights. If you are a Lion King fan you might like this. It may be a 'cartoon' but I wouldn't call it kid friendly. It's kind of like The Simpsons or Family Guy. It's NOT as as nasty or dirty like Family Guy (or South Park) but the jokes are witty and often fly over the kids heads. At one point Donkey from Shrek guest starred. In fact, it was often promoted was 'from the producers of Shrek!' Jeffrey Katzenberg was responsible for production.
The father lion Larry is voiced by John Goodman (Fred Flintstone from the Flintstones, Argo, Monsters Inc).
