Bandhurra’s golden eyes stared at Craig like he was crazy, “You’re a wolf like me, yes we have names.” She replied coldly. Her salt and pepper hued ears twitched as she listened for the hunter, “Well I don’t hear anything, but follow me…” she said and bounded off into the woods. She moved pretty quickly, well as fast as her young legs would take her; she looked at Craig, “They call me Bandhurra and you?” she asked softly as she climbed over a large rock.

Who me? My name is Craig. Hey wait a minute a little pup like you knows the way around these parts? Craig laughed out loud. Um where is your father? Is he around? Where is he? Craig hoped there were no more wolves prowling about.

A frown crossed her and her eyes glanced over at Craig, “All I had was my mother, I don’t have a dad...there no one else.” she muttered. Bandhurra ran until they came before the den her mother had made for them, “We can stay here for a while.” she insisted as she looked inside. Bandhurra reclined back to her haunches and her ears flattened back, “I can’t believe shes gone…” pain flashed through the pup’s face.

Uh yeah she is gone kid. Now will you please stop bugging me with that. I am not the one at fault here! Anyway so what do wolves do for fun. Fighting probably. Wolves are easy to explain like all the other animals. So what do you do for fun?

Bandhura rolled her eyes at Craig, “What is wrong with you? Us wolves…look at yourself!” she snapped. She stepped over towards him raising a paw, she poked at his chest. ”Where did you come from? We survive spend most of our time surviving. You’ve seen those careless hunters, I lost my dad to a hunter like that!” she growled. Grief took over her heart and she lay on the cold den floor, the scent of her mother still passing through her leathery pink nose. “Tell me Craig, what is it exactly you want.” she asked.

Wait your dad died too! Are you all alone now? Who is going to take care of you? And what do you mean by careless hunters? Well this little wolf pup was finally becoming more bearable. Craig thought how was he going to tell her he killed his mom? No I feel no pity the wolf charged at me. I was defending myself.

Bandhura reclined back to her haunches and her golden hued eyes studied the jabbering male wolf, “Yes. There both dead now…I have to take care of myself. “ she muttered. Her ashen paw pushed a small rock around, “Do you travel alone…?” she asked.

Uh, yes of course! Craig blurted that out without thinking really. Um so what do you want to do Bandhura right? Oh what is he doing? Why is he trying to play with the pup? For some reason no matter how annoying he was starting to grow fond of the little wolf pup. What are you doing?

Bandhura looked up at Craig, “Uhh..I’m not sure.” more tears slid down her furry cheeks. The death of her mother was still fresh on her mind. “What do you plan on doing…? she asked him softly. Her ears perked forward as she listened for the sounds of anyone who didn’t belong, mainly. People.

Uh I don't know what do wolves do? Do they fight, swim, fetch sticks, what? Why did the little wolf pup thought he knew. Of course because he is older. He waited for the little pup to answer.
