It is very sad that those little kids who haven't even lived their first 10 years died from the shooting.

It took some time for me to really start to cry about this... at first it was just utter shock. But recently there was an article up with the pictures of some of the victims. A lot of the children's pictures. That's when I started crying... Those parents shouldn't have to go through something like this. From this day forwards they can only see their children's faces in a picture or in their memories. They should see them every day. As they grow up, graduate, marry, start a family, they should see their children's faces. But now they can't. I can't even imagine what that must feel like...

It's the most saddening thing to hear. Children dieing at the very beginning of their life. Such a cruel and sick world we live in. What could possess a man to ever do such a thing? What could one gain out of the killing of children let alone anyone? My prayers are out to the families; that they may find strength through this hard time. That somehow they may find a way to move on despite their loss. My heart feels for them.

Well neither can I, but to be fair, I can't imagine what it would be like to have children to begin with so that's a moot point.

What matters to me is that many people died for absolutely no reason. It is unjust no matter how you slice it.

We're all born normal, but when we grow we grow into our own image of evil. By seeing others we forget what we are ourselves: human, terribly human.

We aren't all born normal. We can't be, because there's no such thing as normal and everyone is different.

Not everyone grows into their own image of evil. It's usually the exact opposite, because nobody ever admits that they are evil. Evil is a point of view, and anyone who is evil is evil because they do not share the same point of view as the rest of society. Hitler was, for most intents and purposes, evil, but he would never think of himself that way. He thought what he was doing was right for his country.

And how does seeing others make us forget that we are human? If anything, the opposite is true. One of the defining traits of being a human is social behavior, so it is being around other humans that makes us human, from a certain point of view.
