You can not escape reality.
State of Mind - The status of ones consciousness, as in their perception of the outside world, their perception of their own intuition,
and the function of their brain.
Ah but good sir, you fail to see that imagination is reality. Reality is a state of mind. My proof is you. Imagination is another state of mind. My proof is Kitva. And insisting that imagination is not reality is foolish. Everything that exists today was created by someone's mind. From the chair you sit in every day, to the concept of space travel. If you're going to say that imagination is not reality, then how has anything happened? We have managed to escape reality through imagination, from dreaming at night, to inventing airplanes; something that was thought impossible before. However, the imaginations of the Wright Brothers said otherwise.
Perception is more than just seeing what is real and what is not. Perception is seeing what is real, what can be real, and what we would like to believe is real.
Realism is overrated anyways.
