I've also noticed that cub Kiara's ears are different from cub Simba and Nala's. The area where the inner ear "starts" is fluffier (usually). Simba and Nala have some long hairs (or what ever those stripes are) in the brown area.

I just figured that was just a result of the change in artists between TLK and TLK2. if you notice it's the same thing with Kovu and Vitani's ears. I think they just didn't do those hairs in TLK2 at all.

Me too. Perhaps Kiara inherited that coloring from him -- that's one part of his design that doesn't cause any conflict between his written and illustrated appearances. : )

I'd say she looks both Nala and Simba.

I agree. She just has that wrinkle on the nose that Sarafina doesn't have.
