Kanti snarled in disgust, but she wasn't afraid of Mio. He was wounded. Badly. She smirked and emerged, her eyes glowing madly.

"Bet you didn't think you'd see me again. So, home alone with the cubs eh? How sweet. How.... vulnerable" She said, retracting her claws.

Vulnerable ha if a cub could beat you then you should be ashamed of that. I will make sure you won't return alive. You do not have the nerve to attack me.

Kanti growled and leapt forward so fast, she was like a blur. She hit Mio under the chin and sent him sprawling to the floor. Rayn, seeing her father fall growled and rushed forward, sinking her little gums into the leopards front paw. Vex however was cowering behind her father, scared of this newcomer. Surprisingly, Kanti didn't flinch as Rayn bit her paw, infact she smiled.

"Such a brave little cub..she'll do nicely"

Mio let out a huge roar trying to see if Nova or Shinova and Meeko could hear him. Mio jumped up and sunk his fangs so far down her neck and stuck his claws right in her face making her bleed. He was in pure rage he was not losing her or any of his kids. Mio would grab them and run if he knew they were in danger. He intended to kill her and not let her leave. As he kept his fangs in her neck he kept twisting his face to inflict more pain as he kept hitting her with his claws, he was a totally different lion.

"F-Fool!" Kanti snarled, though the pain was nearly crippling her as Mio kept a hold of her flesh in his mouth.

She managed to wrestle free of his grip after a while and clawed Mio down the side, bit deep into his front paw and hit him across the face again. Vex cowered behind one of the rocks with her brother, but Rayn was still standing tall, growling at the intruder who had hurt her father. Kanti caught her breath, blood streaming down her face. She then went over to Mio and put her paw on his cheek, pushing his face into the ground and letting her claws retract just a little so that the tips were digging into his flesh. One was right above his eye and if he moved, it would blind him.

"Your going to listen to me now. You killed many of my cubs back in that jungle. Cubs i'd raised just like these ones. You get me wrong. I am not here to kill you, or your cubs... Yet. I am going to take your cubs and raise them as my own.. Then.. One day.. When they are older, you'll have to fight your children and watch them be torn to pieces as they fight for our side" Kanti smirked darkly.

"Though... those two are pathetic, I have no need for weaklings, but this one.... She shows no fear. She'll be a valuable asset to our clan" Kanti said, watching the snarling form of Rayn.

In a split second Kanti leapt off Mio, bolted towards Rayn, picked her up in her jaws and ran from the den, disappearing into the jungle.

Mio yelled nooooooooo he got up and started to chase. He was left crying he had failed. He was next to his other cubs crying. He was so ashamed. He knew Nova would be disappointed.

[Tora]

"Good thinking Meeko. What's the plan Nova?" Whispered Shinova. "Are we going to just go kill it? I mean it can't really run can it? It's hurt." Shinova still felt weary about those Leopards. He kept it to himself though as he wanted to see the hunt go well. "I hope Mio is alright. He was hurt pretty bad, and no one is there to protect him." Shinova thought.

"It won't ever recover from that broken leg and he looks rather old" Nova whispered back.

She was going to let Shinova help and kill the prey, but she wanted to end this poor beasts life quickly so she began to circle around it. Nova leapt out of the bushes after a time, landed with her paws between the warthog and cleanly snapped it's neck so it didn't even have time to think. She stood up and sighed, but she was pleased they could eat and the beast was no longer in pain.

Nova was about to say something to Shinova when Mio's roar echoed through the jungle and her jaw dropped slightly.

Shinova despite his best Judgement ran instantly toward the Den. "Nova somethings wrong!" Shinova exclaimed as he ran. Shinova knew he left Meeko and he hoped Meeko would get on Nova before she ran. His worry was about finding out what happened to Mio. He felt that Mio was in danger and he wanted to get there. He began to think for a second and realized that Nova would probably out run him, but that didn't stop him from running.

Nova's heart sank. Would they ever be left to enjoy their lives. Perhaps it was nothing.. Perhaps Mio was just playing a game with the cubs. But Shinova's worry got Nova all on edge and her mind started to race. She bolted after Shinova, Meeko leaping onto her back as she passed. Usually Nova would put up a fuss, but she didn't care right now. All she wanted to do was make sure her family were safe. Nova had even left the boar behind in her worry.
