Or maybe I feel that way because I know you know I don't do the whole "forgive" thing in any instance where a word so strong as "hate" can be used. I always feel like you're trying to make me "see the light" or something else silly like that.

I don't. If I hurt someone bad enough to cause them to hate me, I do not expect their forgiveness, nor do I ask for it. I would not be deserving of it, and there would be no reason for them to give it even were I.
