Alice smirked. This girl seemed to have attitude to her and she found that amusing.

"Of course it's not safe anywhere anymore" She didn't wince as Tamra passed her and slightly barged her shoulder as she past.

Dusk whined slightly as he watched Tamra walk off towards the city. Alice looked down at him and nodded her head at the pup. Dusk trotted forward and stood infront of Tamra, blocking her path.

"I wouldn't go that way if I were you. That towns swarming with those things"

Tamra turned sharply. "I know." Her voice was like ice,"But I need things at my apartment-and I'm not going to leave my dog." She smiled at the German Shepherd puppy. "See you around."

Dusk tilted his head as she walked off and looked back at Alice who had just slipped her katana back into it's holster.

"Damn it..." She muttered.

"There's safety in numbers" Alice said with a sigh, walking away from Ryan, though she turned and looked at him after a few paces.

"You better come with us too. I've not see a survivor in days, so they are pretty hard to come by at the moment" She said walking off after Tamra, Dusk walking alongside his mistress.

Aimee continued walking, deciding not to speak until she reached the house. Once the two had emerged from the group of trees, she smiled a little. Even though the house didn't look like it used to, it was still her home. She picked up the pace and went to the front door, looking behind her for a moment. She glanced to the side and looked down at the mound of earth, it looked a lot like a-

"Yeah...it is a grave", she said, catching Matt looking at it. "The first walker I killed. It was only until he was down that I realized it was my old school teacher. Thought it would be...respectful, to bury him". She licked her lips, for they had gone dry. They often did when she was uncomfortable. Grasping the door, she pulled back with all her might. She was glad the door didn't open into the inside. "Come on in", she said, stepping to her home.

Matt looked down at the grave, trying to visualize for a moment who this belonged to. Aimee suddenly explained however and he listened politely, sighing sadly as his gaze fell back to the small mound of earth.

When she invited him in the house, he nodded and walked away from the grave and entered the house after her. He felt oddly safe here and looked around at their surroundings.

"It's good to be indoors again. I'd lost count of the days i'd spent in those woodlands" He said, leaning up against a wall.

Jake frowned as the girl and the guy entered the cabin. Had they really not heard him? How on earth were they still alive? He approached the house and knocked on the door. "Is anyone there?"

Tamra noticed the puppy was behind her. She turned to see the girl following her. "Did the shower sound tempting?" She gave the girl her wolf look. "I'm sorry about exploding back there-I'm really tense." She bent down and pet the dog. "I really miss my dog-he was always there when times were hard-he always helped me keep it together." She tipped her short brown hair towards the black puppy,"What's it's name?"

Aimee's lips curled into a smile. She lead him into the living room.
"Take a seat", she said, looking at the armchair. She sat down on the sofa bed across the room and put her basket down. "Ok, Matt, I know it might sound a little stupid, but I have rules and routine in my house. If you're gonna stay here, you need to follow them".

The 15 year old felt out of place without some rules and a routine to life, so she had to make one herself. Aimee reached under the bed and pulled out a sheet of paper. "First thing, no-", she was interrupted, there was a knocking at the door. She rose to her feet and reached for her gun, leaving the room to look outside a crack in the door.

She saw another man, taller, but he was talking. Walkers don't talk. She reluctantly opened the door, leaning against the door frame she looked at him closely. "You got any bites or scratches?", she asked, her hand firmly around the gun.

Alice walked after her and avoided eye contact.

"I just think us survivors should stick together" she said bluntly. Alice was not one for showing emotion and struggled with it at times, yet she wasn't about to let this girl walk off alone into the dangerous unknown.

Dusk was walking inbetween them now, his tongue lolling. He knew that they were talking about him, so his head swayed from girl to girl.

"Dusk. His eyes are a deep purple and I found him just as the sun was going down" She turned to Tamra. "Seemed fitting"

Matt settled himself down in the armchair opposite Aimee and pulled out one of the knives in his many holsters and began to polish it with his sleeve. He looked up at Aimee when she began speaking and was polite, so didn't mock.

"Of course, it's your house"

When there was a knock at the door he grasped the knife by the handle and stood up so quickly he made himself dizzy. As Aimee went to open the door, Matt too walked after her and stood behind the door out of sight just incase he tried anything funny. He would protect Aimee if it came to it.

Jake resisted to the urge to grab his hinting knife. "No. They couldn't touch me if they wanted to." He gave the short blonde girl a searching look,"May I come in?"

Tamra smiled at the girl. "Very fitting." She looked at the dog's purple eyes,"And pretty." She looked back over her shoulder at the car then stopped. "You coming?" She called.

Aimee, in normal circumstances, would of said no to the taller looking stronger guy. However, she knew her mind would play up and she'd feel guilty if she said no. The teenager girl, for once hating not being taller and older, nodded.
"Yeah...my house my rules though. Deal?". She pulled him inside, jamming the door shut tightly. "Lucky you got here just as I was about to explain", she started, still standing in the hallway.

"All weapons stay here, by the door. Believe me, nothing can get in while we are inside. Kitchen is out of bounds, unless you want to see a body. Someone lied about being bitten in the forest and they turned, and...yeah. Because our town had it's own sewage system, somehow it's still running. That means we have a flushing toilet. No one is too use it after 8pm. Our power went out a couple of days ago, so don't light too many candles. There's one room upstairs without a boarded up window, no one is to go in that room unless they have to".

She stopped for a moment to catch her breath. She looked up at the two before continuing,
"There's two other bedrooms upstairs with fully made beds. Decide between the two of you. Unless like me, you don't feel comfortable up there. I stay in here. By all means one of you can join me". She realized that sounded a bit dodgy, smiling a little she added , "I meant on the armchair. I've got spare blankets. Honestly, it would be nice for some company...ya'll got free food tonight. If you can contribute to my supplies, please do".
