"Girls don't play Video Games"

I'm a girl- I enjoy video games immensely:
Black Ops (especially zombies)
All of the ModernWarfares
Star Wars
XM Racing
Etc.

It is true though that a lot if girls don't game, but as Ninaroja said "We female gamers do exist" and there are starting to be more and more. And for the record I don't play FarmVille or by thing of that crappy, droll genre.

All the while a 26 year old man is talking to a girl no older than 15... And yeah this is based on a true story lol (not my own, I was in a game where someone else had done it)

I am against that stereotype, I see a lot of female gamers around. I hate it when people insult female gamers because they are female. The only reason that people don't like female gamers is because the female gamers are better than those type of males and they hate being teabagged by a female. (Not meant as an insult, if you saw it that way, that is)

I'm a girl gamer. X3 I had literally played Minecraft for 18 hours straight during the Summer. xP
I hate this stereotype. There are several girls that I know out there who are gamers, even though the majority of females don't play non-stop video games. In addition to Minecraft, I play Kingdom Hearts, Epic Mickey, Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2, I want to play Guild Wars 1 and 2, and I occasionally play CoD with my little brother, and a bunch of other random games on my phone. XP

I do notice that females with sexist comments etc, and it's kind of sad.
obviously this stereotype is not true, every individual is interested in whatever they find fun. ^^

This stereotype sadly exists, but this is totally false actually. Just take for example MLK who has a Minecraft server, there actually several girls here. Video games aren't mean for any specific gender.

Video games aren't made for a specific gender. You like what you like, you don't like what you don't like. It doesn't matter what your gender is.

I hate this prejudice, too. I know many girls who like to play video games. One of my best friends is a good example. And I'm also playing video games by myself. Apart from the fact I do not know anyone who has never played one in his life, whether boys or girls.

I'm a huge gamer girl, have been since i was little. I've gotten nasty comments about it, but i've learned to ignore it. If i wanna play a video game, i'm gonna play a video game. If i wanna join teamspeak with my guild while playing, then I'm going to! It's not like they can stop me.

As a side note, i really hate how 80% of female characters are actually males. It's annoying and honestly quite disturbing. (No offence to anyone who does that.)
