What the heck is wrong with reflections?!

What the heck is wrong with reflections?!

Postby KopsTheTerminator » October 11th, 2009, 10:10 am

Ok, here we go:

When Simba looked at the water on the first movie, he saw Mufasa, right? Here's a picture:

When Kovu looked at the water, he saw Scar, right:

But when Kiara looked at the water, she didn't saw Simba, she saw a half of her own reflection!

Why didn't Kiara see Simba in her reflection? This is all gone wrong! I know it's meant to prove that Kovu and Kiara are one, but doesn't Simba live in her? Disney seemed to mess up yet again...

its working of the we are one theory, sorta. the fact is kovu is her other half but hes gone so half of her is missing. thats why after love will find a way, in the reflection half of kovus face and half of kiaras are join thats when kovu says 'we are one'

Only reason she didn't see Simba is because her other half belongs with Kovu...
Wait, I just relized, Kovu should have seen his missing half, not Scar! O.O

it can work either way tiger, cause its comparing kovus likeness to scar. at that moment ,i know this sounds harsh, but i dont think kovus mind would be totally on kiara but his dark past that has now forced him to run

lol, that's kinda confusing. I don't think Kiara seeing herself is not the strange one in this case. I mean, if you look into the water, you should see yourself instead of a dead family member, shouldn't you? Kovu seeing Scar, who wasn't even his real father, that's pretty weird.
And Simba, seeing Mufasa: that had a spiritual reason in the movie..

But I get your point :)

Aww god I totally forgot about that Kovu part! Maybe Scar was really his father but Nuka and Vitani kept saying that his mother was kidding so he thought he wasn't? XD Because it doesn't make sense for Scar to appear on Kovu reflection, even through the basic point he appears like that is because Kovu failed to protect his legacy and avenge him.

There's a lot of strange reflecting water in the Pride Lands, that's for sure.

Kovu saw Scar because if you listen to Not One of Us it goes, "Evil as plain as the scar on his face." Kovu's being exiled and he sees Scar because he feels like Scar is the darkness inside of him.

Dude, how is that Disney messing up again? Because some lions saw metaphorically the ones that had some relation to them doesn't mean that everyone has to see their relatives or parents.
People tend to over think stuff because they're running out of stuff to talk about, seriously.

LOL it's because the artists were tired of making so many damn reflections! JK, but I think it would've been weird for Kiara to look in the lake and see a male character :/
