I think it would be Rated R in america. Mainly because it is a pretty bloody movie. There's no way this is a childrens film. LOL. Considering though, that it's only been released on VHS and LASERDISK (Two dead formats in america), it's impossible to really know. If I ever run by it on vhs, I'll probably get it, I still use VHS's.

In the usa we only classify games like that, E for everyone, T for Teen, M for mature... In the USA movie ratings go:
G for General Audiance,
PG for Parental Guidance,
PG-13 for Parental Guidance if under 13,
R for Restricted under 17, without adult,
NC-17 for completely restricted for people under 17.

Felidae would probably get a R just for those nightmare sequances alone, those are flat out horrifying.

Yeah, it does deserve an R-Rating. BUT now-a-days it would get a PG-13, because you can have quite a few bad things in a movie to get a PG-13, in fact there are some movies with nude scenes, that are PG. Felidae is a pretty mild movie too me, probably because I've seen movies 50x's worse.

PLUS a cartoon takes even more to get an R-Rating, considering it's not real. So this would probably actually be PG. It's really not that bad.

I saw it a few weeks ago and had some nightmares... :P I liked it, the plot was really good... But I wonder why some cats looked like dogs...
