Obama is now officially projected as the winner. Not what I was hoping for, but I sincerely hope that you guys are right that he'll do a good job in his second term.

Actually, something interesting:

While it is still likely that Obama will win, I just checked and saw that California has been counted in in the current estimates. Even with the Cali 55, Obama has 258 electoral votes. He needs 270 to win...

You know, I think we're looking at a House determined vote for President, and knowing the house - Romney. But at the same time, the senate chooses the VP - and the senate is democratic.

So there is still a chance of a Romney-Biden presidential office four the next four years. That might prove interesting.

Congratulations to Barrack Obama. Looks like the left will maintain Senate and the right will maintain house.

Now, let's look forward to the future and set aside our differences to work productively for America. No sore losers, there isn't any space for it. There's work to be done.

It's technically based on projections at this point and not the 100% final tallies, but Obama has won for all practical purposes. How do you figure we're headed for a tie, which is what would have to happen for the House to get involved?

The whole "You need 270 electoral votes to win".

Although I admit, Obama only needs another 5, so yeah, he's the winner.

If I may ask, why is it so many people are overwhelming thankful Obama won? What specifically of his policies do you agree with the most? I'm honestly curious.

And no sore winners as well. Remember: it takes only one side not willing to cooperate for the whole system to collapse.
