Well, Nuka and Vitani ARE NOT Scar's cubs, and are not Simba's cousins.

The Lion King II director Darrell Rooney cleared this up over a year ago with this statement:

In the end, Zira's relationship with Scar was changed from being his mate to being a devoted follower because if she were his mate, Kovu would be an incestuous relationship with Kiara, his first cousin once removed. This applied to Kovu, and it applies to Nuka and Vitani.

As Maury Povich would say, SCAR IS NOT THE FATHER. He can be their father in your fanfiction, but never officially in the movie universe because it's been denied.

Oh, so since Scar wasn't Zira's mate, and I'm assuming that Kovu, Nuka, and Vitani are Zira's, that would mean they aren't Scar's. That makes sense.

In fanfictions only could Nuka ''possibly'' be Scar's child. The creators never confirmed in any way that Nuka is Scar's son unless they would have made that clear in the movie, which they did not.

My mind has changed on this a lot. I used to think that Nuka was Scar's son, but now I'm not sure. I don't think Vitani is Scar's daughter mostly because of age. She looks around Kiara's age, and it seems like a long time went by between Scar's death and Kiara's birth (the plants growing back), so I'm guessing he wasn't alive long enough to be her father.

The other reason isn't as certain. For all I know, I'm assuming Kovu and Vitani are from the same litter. I heard that cubs in the same litter can have different fathers, but since I'm guessing that's not extremely likely, I'm assuming that both of them have the same father. If that's the case, Scar isn't Vitani's father. I also think that since Zira was so obsessed with Scar, she wouldn't be with another lion at the same time. I could see her having Nuka with Scar, and after Scar died, having the other two with another lion, though.

But another thing that confuses me is Scar "picking" Kovu. Would Scar have been alive when Kovu was born? Wouldn't that make Kovu and Vitani more noticably older than Kiara? As I already said, they look about the same age.

But in all seriousness, it really depends on the time lapse you think happened between the ending of TLK and the beginning of SP. If we're looking at it from a realistic point of view, it could've taken weeks, months or longer for all those plants to have grown back. But this is the Disneyverse, where in one roar Simba rejuvenates the pridelands and reclaims his throne.

well i agree with u beacuse kovu did say that he wasn´t sacrs son and nuka did say that in this part of the script nuka:¨scar wasn´t even his father he just took him in¨ and there is when i made the quess that nuka and vitani was scars kids.
