Well, October is quickly coming to an end which means that by now you and your families have probably purchased a pumpkin, or you plan to in the near future.
Pumpkins can be used for many things, so don't buy a pumpkin just to carve it! You can use the actual fruit on the inside to make a lovely pie, not to mention the seeds are completely edible. This year I'm going to try putting cinnamon and sugar on the seeds, and then put it in the mini oven for a bit. Last year I tried them with butter on and they were amazing. So yeah, don't just buy a pumpkin to carve it, because it has several uses.
Anyway, onto the carving part. It can be anything, as long as it's appropriate. Be creative! And don't worry if it looks ugly, it is Halloween after all. Haha!
So here are the rules
-You have until October 31st to join this contest. After that all entries will be closed.
-Voting will take place in early November. The pumpkin with the most votes will win, obviously.
-For your pumpkin to qualify, it has to be carved. It would be best if you put a candle inside to light it up, but if you can't, then that's okay.
-Please use a piece of paper and place it next to the pumpkin saying something like "This is my pumpkin for the MLK Carving Contest" or something like that. We don't want cheaters who have just gone around the internet snatching pictures. If for whatever reason you cannot take a picture with a piece of paper next to your pumpkin, then that is okay too. Still, it's preferred if you would add the paper if you can. ^^
-Make sure you follow all MLK rules.
-HAVE FUN!
Post your pumpkin in this thread. I'm sure it'll be lovely!
Can't wait to see what you guys come up with!
