Jela rolled her eyes and started towards the entrance,"We don't have all the time in the world, an you should know one thing about my past: it'll be following us." She paused and backtracked towards the pool. She dipped her paw in the pool and splashed it everywhere,"C'mon-we need to go before the water dries-it'll cover our tracks." She slipped out of the cave and sniffed the air, no lions were close, yet. She sighed relieved and started to bound away, checking occasionally to make sure Sevvy was following her, she didn't know why she even cared though...

Sevvy bounded towards the cave entrance. Though he was a fully grown lion, he coul still be a cub at heart. And he loved adventures. He was very conscious, though, about Jela. He turned to see her hobble slightly. he turned to go help her.

Jela rolled her eyes as Sevvy bounded towards her. "I'm fine." Her voice was loud and sharp,"I don't to be fawned over." She turned and trotted away, watching Sevvy leap and bound around like a cub. She sighed, they were never going to get anywhere that way. "Come on!" Her voice was exasperated.

'Jeez, miss uptight!' He muttered. It wasn't his fault he got over excited. He started walking, keeping a close eye on Jela. He didn't trust her judgement, and was sure she was feeling more pain that she showed. If only she would open up, tell him the circumstances of how she got injured, he would be able to fix it completely. He sighed deeply. They had a long ahead, and he wouldn't be slowed down by her. He hoped that him being faster and not offering help might make her open up. He really hoped.

Jela sighed heavily and forced herself to trot. She was tired and sore from her abuse and tired from her lack of sleep. Last night was the first time she had slept the entire night in months, and that was because she was free. She debated with herself whether or not to tell Sevvy about her past. Since it was dangerous, he ought to know, but it was ultimately her choice. No she thought, I won't tell him until it's absolutely necessary. She yawned and quickened her pace from a trot to a run.

Sevvy wasn't nearly as worried as he should have been. Being with Jela put all the miserable things out of his mind. He wasn't entirely sure why, though. He sighed and let it drop. He turned around to see Jela half running half trotting- the way she ran to avoid pain was hilaruous to look at. He had to stifle a laugh. All of a sudden, he froze, leaving Jela to be over powered by speed and go flying. She looked angrily at him.

Jela glared at Sevvy. She snorted angrily and ran at full speed. She winced as her body hurt, but loved the feel of the wind in her face. She laughed slightly; Sevvy apparently had no idea how fast she was on her long cheetah-like legs. She slowed when she was an adequate distance ahead of him and stopped in front of a small stream. She took several droughts then climbed a tree and stretched herself under the shade of the tree, waiting for Sevvy to catch up.

Sevvy stood still. He wondered how Jela couldn't have noticed. He breathed shallowly, trying not to make too much noise. Very slowly and deliberately he sauntered forward through the grass, once again trying to stay silent. Jela huffed impatiently, and was about to go again when Sevvy hissed a warning. But it was too late. She jumped down, and out of no where the large bachelor lion launched himself at her.

Jela easily flipped the large lion over her and pinned him, using his enormous weight against him. She looked down with a frown on her thin face. She turned towards Sevvy,"Do you know who this is?" Her eyes bore through Sevvy with raw intensity.

'Yes' he barely breathed the word. Jela mistook it for a sound of relief, and let him up. He started towards Jela, but Sevvy snarled. 'Don't even think about it' the lion turned to Sevvy, an evil grin on his face. 'Lets see who she chooses?' Sevvy almost sighed with relief. He was going to ask her to join his pride, when Sevvy knew enough about her to know that she would never join his pride. He turned to her, smiling sweetly. 'Wanna stay with this freak, or join a real pride?'
