"Come on, we need to get you back to the den. Im sure Nova would let us stay and rest just for one night. If not, i'll make her" Nala said helping Simba walk along.

The other lionesses followed and left the clearing, and Meeko was taken off with Shinova in the cubs mouth. The little meerkat gasped as he soon found himself in the pool and looked back at Shinova with a smile on his face.

"Im surprised you still have any energy left!" Meeko called.

Nova heard the noise outside and leapt out roaring just incase it was a leopard. When she saw it was Shinova and Meeko she gave a sigh of relief and ran over to Shinova and gave him a gentle nuzzle, relieved to see that he was safe. She was even pleased to see Meeko who was swimming around the pool now.

When Simba and Nala approached however, she growled silently, but seeing the state Simba was in she immediately stopped and blinked with confusion.

"We need to rest.. May we use your den just for the night" Nala asked.

Nova said nothing, she only nodded.

"Where's Mio?" She blurted out.

Mio was still knocked out cold still bleeding, but not as bad as it was before. He wondered if it was over and what had happened. He just wanted to go home. He finally awoke and tried to stand up he fell a few times due to his stat soon he got up and literally took it a step at a time. He fell a few steps forward and passed out due to injuries and tirednes.

Nova looked around and did not see her mate. She growled and a tear ran down her cheek.

"If he's dead... i'll never forgive you!" She growled at Simba.

She wanted to go and look for him, yet she couldn't leave the cubs... Nor did she had any idea where he might be. She growled with frustration and began to pace restlessly.

[Tora]

"I'll go find him." Shinova volunteered. "I didn't think he was hurt that bad. I'll go look for him." Shinova of course was only trying to calm Nova down, but he knew that Mio was hurt pretty bad. Shinova walked out of the Den to find Mio passed out. It looked as if he had been struggling to get back to the Den. Shinova nudged at Mio. "Are you alright?"

Simba wanted to answer Nova, but he was too weak and tired to even try. He collapsed onto the floor groaning. He began to think about what had happened. "Was it all worth it? Did I accomplish what I had come here to do? Or did I kill a leopard wrongly?"

Mio saw Shinova and said I am not dead but I can hardly move he said. I don't know if I will be able to make it back on my own. I just got this far since everyone left. I might need help, but I will try. He slowly gets up and starts to head to their home. It took a long time, but soon they finally reached their den by that late night.

Rayn approached Simba, shortly followed by Vex and the cubs stared at Simba and Nala with interest.

"Rest now Simba, we will head home when you regain your strength. You did well" Nala said, lying down next to him.

The other lionesses had settled down outside the cave and Nova watched them wearily. She then turned to Meeko who was swimming around still and asked;

"How did the battle go?"

Meeko sighed and began to tell the gory tale.

Shinova was quite worried for Mio as he helped him as best he could to the Den. Shinova looked into the Den and saw the others gathered around Meeko. It seemed as if he was telling the tale of the battle. Shinova was interested, but was more interested in helping Mio. Shinova helped Mio lay down in the corner of the Den. "You're going to be alright Mio. Nova come over here and help your mate. He is hurt." Shinova said worriedly.

Nova heard Shinova call her name and she trotted off from Meeko, who continued to tell of the battle to the others who were interested. Nova leapt over a boulder and landed next to Mio and Shinova. Her eyes widened in utter horror when she saw the state he was in and she knelt down next to him to help him stand again. They had to get him to the den.

"It's alright Mio, you'll be fine. Shinova, we have to get him to the den." Nova assured him as she helped him to his feet.

She was terrified of losing him, but she stayed strong.

A way off from the den the form of Jengo lay in the moonlight. He was covered with blood and beaten. Kanti had wandered back to mourn the loss of her mate and began to cry into his shoulder while the last loyal leopards stood by her. Under her weight it was as if Jengo's paw suddenly twitched.

Mio smiled when he saw Nova again. He smiled and knew he would be alright. He purred when she came over to help him. He knew that she was the reason life was worth living he thought as he smiled at Nova while wincing in huge paim

"Come on Mio, we'll get you to the den and you can rest with the little ones" She said, struggling against his weight, but she was determined to help him and didn't show any weakness at all.

Meeko joined them now also and picked up Mio's tail, trying to help in some way or another.
