Until about a year and a half ago, I was under the impression that the Lion King was one of Disney's less popular films. I don't know why I thought that, but I was pretty damn wrong!
I love the Lion King, and have done for almost my entire life. Not only is it my favourite Disney film, but my favourite film full stop. I don't know why, but I don't care. I just can't get enough of it. To me, it is absolutely flawless, and when people say bad things about it I get pretty angry (exhibit A: Comfused Matthew)
My sister and I were discussing Disney movies and which were our favourites. She said hers was Hercules, and I said that although I like it a lot I think as a film it's just ok. Her reply?
"That's cause you're a Lion King snob!"I actually find it funny now

but not so much at the time. Do people just assume that because TLK was so successful that the fans think they're above every other Disney fandom?
