Questions about Nuka..

Hey guys, I'd like to ask your opinions and theories about Nuka. My questions are...

Who do you think was his father?

In my self canon, Scar was his father.

How old was he when we're first introduced to him at first? How old was he when we see him again with grown up Vitani?


Why is his mane so short?

I personally think it's just very matted. He's already a dirty lion who doesn't take care of his hygiene. I think he either scratched it out because of the termites/fleas, it's mange, it's just very matted, or another plothole.

1. I believe he shares the same father as Kovu and Vitani.

2. When we first see Nuka, it is assumed he is equivalent to a teenager in human years. In reality, a male lion reaches maturity when they are 3 years of age. Since cub Kovu and cub Vitani are way younger, I assume they are about 1 lion year old. This is supported by the fact that cub Kovu is older than cub Simba because he has a thicker head tuft so they should be older by one-half lion year. Nuka is somewhere in between so I would say he is 2 lion years old when he makes his first appearance.

By the second half, Kovu has matured into an adult so he should at least be 3 years old (since he has a mane) so Nuka in the second half of the movie has aged 2 more years, making him five in lion years equivalent to his 20s in human years.

3. His mane is short because it helps symbolize his weakness as a weak, incapable male lion. It also come from the fact that he constantly scratches it because he's infected with termites, but I'll stick with my first point.

Like TheLionPrince stated, I also believe that Nuka's father is the same as Vitani. When we first see him, I would see him as 16-17 year old human teenager. When Kovu and Vitani become adults, I see him as a human at least in his mid to late 20s. For his mane, I believe it's from his hygiene and of course, you can't blame him for that since the Outlands are infested with termites and overall, the exact opposite of the Pridelands. There aren't enough environmental resources that the Outsiders can rely on to survive. Also, Zira never really paid much attention to him so she probably gave Kovu and Vitani more care, so that could be the reason for why Kovu's mane is normal but Nuka's mane is not.
