Is that the book about the two Englishmen who bring a lion cub back to England?

Almost got it right. It's about two Aussies who come to England in 1969 and buy a lion cub from Harrods (1960's were crazy. They sold big cats in a department store.) After raising it in London, they needed to take it to Kenya. After a year, the two guys went back to Kenya and Christian still remembered them.
