Melaya looked at him and smiled wickedly and opened her mouth to respond to her mate when control was wrenched away from her again. With a growl Melaya started to look for ways to take over the body, for good.

Kinla backed away, scared of what was happening to her. She turned around and started to run away, shaking her head in confusion. She needed her pride with her. Needed to know she wasn't crazy.

Kava looked confused as the lioness just ran away. "Uh okay..." He returned to nuzzling his dead mate's body, "Oh Melaya I'd do anything to have you back!"

Bufufalo suddenly emerged and looked at Kinla saying angrily, "What were you doing nuzzling that male? Is there something going on with you two I should know about? Perhaps you'd like to be exiled and remain with him forever!" his voice rising at the young lioness.

Kinla looked at her king and cowered into the ground. She was scared and confused and didn't know what was going on. She needed help, but the one male that could give her reassurance was furious with her. Kinla hung her head, "I.... I'm sorry... I don't know what came over me... please forgive me?" she pleaded risking a glance up at him.

However Bufufalo just shook his head, "Your punishment is if you like to go outside the pride so much I exile you for one week. After that if you find us you will be allowed back in. Remember Kinla you were meant to be my mate. No one talk to the lioness!" he yelled at the others. Soon the pride was completely gone and Kinla was there all by herself.

Kinla backed up a few steps as her pride turned there backs on her. A few of her friends and older lionesses gave her a pitying look but continued to leave her. With a loud sigh Kinla laid down in the tall grass and started to search her mind. Where are you? Who are you? she asked the voice she heard speaking earlier.

Melaya perked up as she heard the lionesses reach out to her. With glee she started to creep through Kinla's mind, slowly taking control. I am Melaya. I was killed only a few hours ago. I came upon you as you fell down that hill in my ghost state and now... now I'm stuck here inside you. Unable to be free.

Kava saw the young lioness collapse and though he was worried about his mate's body he went up to her and sniffed at her making sure that she was okay. He then said to her, "Hey kid are you alright?" The lioness was a wierd one but perhaps her behavior should be pitied and not mocked.

Kinla looked up at the lion and blushed. Knowing now that he was the mate of the lioness that was inside of her she felt self-conscious around him. Blushing she looked away and refused to look in his face. Instead she looked across the Savannah and watched as the sun started to set. With a sigh she wished she was with her pride.

Kava tilted his head in confusion as she avoided looking at him so he again got in front of her face staring in her eyes, "Hey why don't we uh...well I mean are you hungry?" He noticed she was shy around him so he said, "Look why don't we start over. My name's Kava. What's your name and what are you doing around these parts kid?"

Kinla looked up at him and smiled slightly then winced as Malaya started to yell at her. He's mine. You keep you're filthy dirty paws off of him. Kinla looked away and growled slightly. Leave me alone. I'm not doing anything wrong. I'm the one who was just abandoned by my pride! she yelled back, then answered Kava, "I'm Kinla... and yes I'm a little bit hungry."

Kava did a little smile at her and said, "Well Kinla...I'm afraid I don't have any food here. You see my mate..." he trailed off, "She died and I haven't looked for food since..." he said turning away ashamed. He then paused, "Kinla look why don't you go find some food for us and then be on your way. That would be the best thing for the both of us."
