Kovu's real origin?

I've seen a lot of people who have wondered about Kovu's parents
Some people think that Zira and Scar are his parents, and some think other theories ^^
I don't know if some of you have already seen this:
But I founded this a while ago in dA, and I wanted to share with you guys here in MLK :3

Here is a chat with an anonymous person and Darell Rooney (The director of Lion King 2: Simba's Pride).
It seems that Kovu was an orphan and that Zira isn't his mother o_O

wait... if Kovu was an orphan, why would Zira take him in? Zira doesn't seem to be that kind of lioness to me.. Instead of taking him in I see her killing Kovu.

If Scar picked him to be his heir, I very much doubt that Zira would've killed him. In fact she would probably have done her best to make sure he did successfully take over the kingdom.....which is exactly what she did in the movie.

I think that's the common assumption. All I know that is confirmed is that Kovu is not Scar's son. As far as the rest of his ancestry, there are no official confirmations for who his parents are. This chatlog was the first time I ever saw anyone on the production team say that Kovu was an orphan. Like almost everyone else, I thought that he was the son of Zira and some other lion.

All Darrell Rooney is saying that Zira was originally written to be Scar's mate (so Kovu can be considered a legitimate heir to the throne), but it was discovered that it would mean Kovu would be Kiara's first cousin once removed. So, they rewrote Zira from being a mate to a devoted follower, and Kovu was Scar's adopted heir.

Mr. Rooney stated his memory was not so good, and it doesn't make sense for Kovu to not be Zira's son since she calls him "son" several times. It's just told twice he isn't Scar's son. So, I'll let Darrell Rooney off the hook because it was more 10 years since making the movie when posted that Facebook statement a little over a year ago. In the end, Zira was and still is Kovu's mother; it is the father who is unknown.

So, basically, what I've concluded so far:

Kovu was chosen by Scar to be his heir, even though he is not his son. He is actually the son of Zira, and some other lion.

Since Scar chose Kovu as his heir, this makes sense as to why Zira had a grudge against Simba, even though they weren't actually mates.

If you're responding to me, yes.

But Zira holds a vengeance against Simba because he defeated (and believed killed) Scar, her dear leader, took the rightful throne she believed belonged to Kovu, and sentenced her to live in a barren land with "little food, less water".

Remember this piece of dialogue:

Oh really? :o I'm really sorry I didn't know it! :c When you posted your topic I wasn't even a member here so really didn't know it :c If it makes you feel better I can ask someone from the admin to remove this topic
