Saka shrugged,"Yeah, why wouldn't I be. It's not like I've had to carry three lionesses, a lion, and a zebra, fight a lioness, and rescue a lioness and her cub." His tone was sarcastic and he said it with an amused smile. He turned back to face the other lioness,"Are you coming with me this time? If you are, then follow me." He turned to Shahallie,"I can carry that if you want me to." Saka started to lead at least Shahallie north.

Tiaret swallowed hard as she paced and mumbled, then rolled her eyes at Vida who was sleeping peacefully on top of a rock. Tiaret envied her slightly, to be so unattached to anything, whereas she was attached to everything that looked her in the eyes, though some more than others. She sighed and laid down, her legs twitching from her constant pacing. Her brow furrowed in open concern as she glanced at the setting sun; Shahallie and Saka better be home soon.

Shahallie, Saka, the lioness and her cub(who followed but with much caution) were almost to their meeting spot. The zebra was getting heavy, but Shahallie wasn't going to let Saka carry it. He's been through ten times more stuff today then he has. Shahallie suddenly caught flames with his eyes in the distance, and a lot of dark smoke too. It was heading straight for the spot Tiaret and Vida were.

"Saka!"

"I know!" Saka said as he started to run. "I'll get the two of them. Stay here with the other two." He took off as fast as he could, fighting through the pain in his body.

Rachelley looked at the fire gaining ground in the distance and at the male who was running towards it. "Stupid lion" she growled then looked at the other male then at her son. "Stay with him!" she ordered her son as she took off after the other male. He may be the king of his little pride but that didn't make him smart. The female lions should be smart enough to get away from the approaching fire, and if not they shouldn't be allowed to live. With a snarl she launched herself at the male, tackling him to the ground.

Shahallie immediately took action as he saw the lioness attacking Saka from behind. He leapt in front of Saka who was in the middle of getting up painfully.

"Why did you do that?" He growled defensively.

The lioness growled back.

"Your friend can't go out there! He'll be dead before he gets to whoever he's going to save. I mean look at him." She said meaningfully as she motioned at the burns on him and his exhausted expression.

"Alright, I'll go then." Shahallie said and quickly sprinted off.

Rachelley stared after the other lion and shrugged. If he was going to be stupid after the warning... then she wasn't going to stop him.

Shahallie looked to his left as he saw the massive firestorm approaching with great speed. He was almost there and smoke was starting to invade his lungs. He finally got there.

"Tiaret! Vida!" He coughed. But as he looked around, a frightening sight shook him: they were gone.

"No. No no no no no no." He said as he started running around the perimeter, looking for them. They disappeared, leaving him stranded.

Tiaret pulled Vida, who was protesting heavily, up to the top of the steep hill that was behind their meeting spot. She glance back with horror at the glowing fire. She let go of Vida,"C'mon!" Vida turned and glared at her,"We've already left Saka behind once I'm not doing it again." Tiaret groaned,"He's not there anymore! He would never forgive if anything happened to you while I was there. Now, you owe me a life debt, and I'm using it as grounds for me to order you to follow me." Vida looked at the ground and slowly followed Tiaret as she leapt and bounded away from the fire.

Tiaret frowned as she started slowly down the hill, now behind the fire. "Shahallie?" Shahallie was pacing, he looked nervous, hurt , and mostly angry. Tiaret raised her voice,"SHAHALLIE!!!" She was now running to meet him.

Saka paced angrily, occasionally glaring at the strange lioness and her cub. He was mad, mad because the lions he loved were in danger and there was nothing he could do to help them. He growled softly as the cub approached him, eyes wide. The lioness paused and snarled.

Futenal slowly approached the strange male lion. His mother kept him away from other lions and he was curious. He opened his mouth to ask him a question when the male growled at him. With a warning snarl from his mother Futenal scampered back and hid behind her legs.

Glaring at the male lion Rachelley nuzzled her son and then looked at the fire gaining on them. With a sigh she grabbed her son and walked into the river to keep them both wet. The wetter they were, the better the chance they had at surviving the fire.

Saka watched the lioness wet her cub. She was obviously smart. And she seemed more merciful and forgiving than Vida, and far, far more caring. She would be a good queen. He approached her and hung his head,"I'm, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have gotten mad at you. Thankyou for making me stay."

Rachelley shrugged and continued to douse herself in water. Seeing her cub huddling on the river bank she sighed. "Futenal get in here and get wet. NOW!"
Futenal shook his head and backed away. He hated water, he didn't get why he had to get wet and refused to enter the water. Seeing the look in his mothers eye he yelped and ran over to the male lion, and hid in between his legs.
