Nova looked up as she heard approaching footprints. She growled and stood infront of her cubs defensively.

"Relax Nova, it's just us!" Meeko called gently.

[Tora]

"No one is here to harm you." Shinova explained. "They are here to stand guard until the leopards learn about their little leopardess's demise. Perhaps then we can talk negotiations. Right Simba?" Shinova looked over at Simba. For once he felt as if he was around a real leader. Though he knew it only to be temporary. "Eventually I will have to go back to disagreeing with Mio and Nova again."

"Negotiations may not be enough. We shall try though. I feel war may be the only option we have." Simba replied gravely. Simba had come to protect the cubs from the leopards. He was going to do it even if war was unavoidable. "I sure hope that we can avoid war. Although I can't be certain. Nova they're your children. It would be better for you to stay with them; though this is not my kingdom. If you wish to fight along side us be our guest. Either way you are not weak for this choice."

Well ok this way to the den. These are the cubs Vex, Ace, Rayn. Rayn is sitting on his back trying to hide because of all the others coming closer. Vex just stood next to Nova and Ace trying to be tough standing in front of both of us.

Nova was fearful of the leopards coming here and she went to yell blindly at them again. Yes.. wonderful idea, lead them all here! She thought as she stared at Simba and Shinova in disbelief. She never thought she'd have to see Simba in her lands and him being here made her angry, but secretly relieved. Vex looked up at Shinova and tilted her head to the side. She seemed intrigued by him, or was it the fact Meeko was on his back?

"I am not leaving my cubs alone. I would have stayed here on this side of the line and avoided conflict with them. If anything happens to Shinova though Simba, i'll tear your throat out"

She looked at Mio.

"You should go with them and fight if you need to" She said, pain filling her words.

She couldn't bare to lose Mio.

Alright we will be fine he said nuzzling her. He picked up Rayn and put her next to Nova and walked out of the den next to Simba.

Nova hung her head as Mio turned to leave. She hated all this. Was it so much to ask the leopards to let them live here? What harm were they doing.

"Rayn!" Nova yelled as the young cub ran after Mio, and out into the open.

Mio smiled and gave the cub a lick. Now you stay here and keep mom company. As he sets her down next to her mother. He smiled and walked off again.

It pained Nova to watch Mio exit the den. She wanted him back here with her and the cubs, but she knew that the war had to be fought. She lay down, Vex wandering over to her and Rayn too admitting defeat and no longer following Mio.

Meeko saw Mio emerge and smiled weakly. He then looked down at Shinova.

"Can I do anything to help?" Meeko asked him, feeling rather useless.

[Tora]

Simba ignored Nova's comment about Shinova. "I'm sure Shinova can take care of himself. He reminds me of my father sometimes. Though he still has a lot to learn as I do too." Simba watched Mio carefully. He was still upset about him and Nala a while back. "Just let it go. There was nothing to come of it." Simba began to think of the Pride Lands. He had left Sarabi in charge. "Mom I sure hope you can handle it while I'm gone." He thought.

Shinova looked up at Meeko. "I'm really not sure. I don't even know how much of a use I'll be right now. I really have no desire to kill anyone. I'm sure Simba doesn't either. But he'll do what he must as will I. You know my father taught me to respect all the creatures that walked this planet. From Ants to Zebras. He taught me a lot of things. Guess they stuck with me." Shinova replied. He began to ponder what role Meeko and he could play. "You have anything in mind Meeko that we could do to help?"

"We could be bait!" Meeko said jokingly. "Lead them here unawares as I don't think they'll be coming along anytime soon"

He looked at Simba nervously, then back at Shinova whom he placed all his trust with. The little meerkat was feeling rather useless amongst all these strong capable lions. As Nala walked up and nuzzled Simba gently, she noticed that Mio was there.

"Hello Mio, I hear you and Nova are mates now. Congratulations"
