Still reading this work of art, and I am about half way through it. But I got the first Hunger Games book today and Chavs - The Demonization Of The working Class by Owen Jones
So I am reading these three books atm, I will start Hunger Games next and then read Chavs.
LOL, I've been meaning to buy that book for ages xD you gotta tell me watcha think of it afterwards! 83
I don't think it's what you think it is; it's not about taking the Michael out of chavs as much as it is explaining how and why the term came about in the first place and where the mass hatred really stems from.
It's still an interesting read though, but you should know that at its core, it is a politics book. It is witty at times but it never really insults them or anything. Look up what demonisation actually means and the book explains where working class demonisation comes from.

Oh man, I saw this in my college library today. I am half way through Chavs and thought I would read a few pages of Stupid Whit Men, it was so funny that I had to put "Chavs" on the sideburner for a while.
So Yeah, I am reading Stupid White Men at the moment - quality book, his points are presented in a funny way and are still really well researched.
I was reading it in my library, giggling and smiling to myself like a nutcase. A girl walked past and thought I was smiling at her and I was like "No, just the hypocrisy of George Bush... Carry on" loving the book so far, though.

Yep, Michael Moore is a genius.

I'm reading House of Dark Shadows right now. I went to do something in the library last Friday morning and the librarian shoved it in my hands (already checked out to me haha) because she swore I'd like it. She's right so far. It's reminding me a lot of Marble Hornets.

Meh, it's more like people just hate him because he is against American standards, and well, they don't like criticism apparently... Bowling for Columbine was banned in several states. Not because it was offensive, but because they know it's true.

Next book: The moral landscape - Sam Harris
