The second add-on for Skyrim, Hearthfire, was released on September 4, 2012 for Xbox 360. The add-on allows the player character to purchase a plot of land and build their own home from raw materials, with the option of adding greenhouses, bee hives and alchemy/enchanting facilities. Hearthfire introduces the option to raise a family and adopt children. It has currently only been announced for Xbox 360, as it is part of a deal between Microsoft and Bethesda to release two downloadable content packs (previous pack being Dawnguard) to the Xbox 360 as 30-day exclusives.
