I wasn't here for the first incident, and I was away when all the Noah crap that I've just now read about was evidently happening. I don't really feel qualified to comment on any of that.
However, the direction this thread has taken affects the community as a whole, and i just felt like I needed to say this. The mods should absolutely have to follow the rules or else posts like LemonMode's will probably become more common. I've watched it happen on other forums that I'm a part of. Allow the mods to play by their own rules, and it seems that inevitably, certain people start thinking that a mod has a personal vendetta. Once that starts happening, it seems like the atmosphere of the whole place can turn pretty toxic, especially if other members start taking sides.
Also, I'm hard pressed to really think of a situation where the mods breaking the rules would truly help matters. It usually just makes it a recurring issue when somebody else earns a timeout that (insert mod's name here) got away with it. I said all that to say this. In my opinion, it is for the ultimately for the greater good for the mods to have to follow the same rules as the rest of us. The rest of you can take my opinion for what it's worth.
