It's Moka's website, no? It's him who is above the rules. Let him decide what to do. What I think should't matter in that decision, but neither what you think. Moka can break the rules because he pays the bills. Everyone else should continue to follow the rules.

What KK did was two years ago. If he did those things yesterday, things would be different. But he learned, and he changed from then. Like you said: this is why he is an admin now. But it's Moka who is above the rules. Not you, not me, and not KK.
Who said that? Seems like you are speaking for moka...

I do sort of agree with DGFone, because rules need to be followed especially those who have power over others. Being in power does not make you above the rules Woeler. Saving a troll from becoming Member of the Month is not something for the greater good of the forum. The outcome would have been simple: the troll would have won, the troll would have been found to be a troll, and he or she would have been banned. If you are in a position of power you should know that you need to be the one setting the example for everyone else. If the ones who create the rules don't follow the rules one cannot expect others to follow the rules. I do believe time has to do with this case as well; there should definitely be a statute of limitations, because as we can see KK is doing his job just fine. Ultimately it is Moka's decision as it is his forum, but be mindful. Just because you make rules doesn't make you immune to them. While yes technically Moka can break the rules I have a strong sense of doubt that he ever would.

KK is still an admin and moka has known for about a month about this issue. For the greater good a mod or admin should be able to break the rules. You think governments do everything by the books? No, otherwise they simply could not function. We can debate this forever, but the decision has already been made, the right one imo btw.

If I am, Moka is not involved in my opinion. This is what I, DGFone, think. That everyone but Moka need to follow the rules equally. Yes, Moka can always break the rules, but he can always stop paying the bills and have MLK get taken down. We just trust him not to.

But as Torah said for everyone else: if the mod and admins break the rules, they are telling everyone else that it's also okay to break the rules. The mods need to be able to deal with every issue without having to break the rules. If the solution breaks the rules, then either it's the wrong solution, or the rules are bad.

That is true. America: land of the free, home of the internment camps.

Well I do agree that they are bad (way too soft) and that might have been the problem. Look at what this has caused. trolls got banned and spam got removed, that outweighs the actions by far. Punishing is like sending someone to jail for killing a killer in their house.

How about this: When a mod or admin breaks the rules for the greater good for MLK, then they will have to publicly disclose the fact. That way, they can still do something, and they know that the rules got broken, and have to explain their actions.

That would work, seems pretty good actually
