Look at you he said nuzzling her back. Your right just need to give him some space. Nova he said I glad I had that feeling. I thought there was no one for me. I thought this difficult life was just to much, but with someone I can talk to makes it better. Well I better go apologize to Shinova then leave him to give him some space. Can you go find some food?

"Im sure I can handle that" Nova said with a smirk.

She licked Mio's cheek and trotted off into the undergrowth, determined to find and catch something out in the jungle.

Mio walked back towards where Shinova wondered off to. We was determined to fix what he started.

[Tora]

"You're right." Shinova sighed. "It's just I don't want to see it happen again. I don't want to see anybody I care about die again. First my parents and now if Mio and Nova die what will I do? I'm so tired of running. I want to face it head on." Confidence began to rise in his voice, "I want to stand up for my home. I just want to be able to fight for my home. I am tired of not being able to defend the ones I love. I will not run anymore even if it means death." The words came through Shinova making him feel slightly better, but the thought of him dieing and leaving those he loved behind still rubbed him raw.

Mio was in a hurry to talk to Shinova to make sure he was ok. He knew he said things the wrong way and he wanted to make it right. He did not look back or think about anything else he only cared about Shinova.

Meeko smiled and looked up at his friend proudly.

"That's the spirit. You are brave and I have faith in you. Don't always dwell on death all the time, it is hard, I know... Meerkats are hunted for food so i've kind of grown up with that in the back of my mind all the time. Today... I might be eaten" he said with a nervous laugh.

He heard the bushes rustle behind them, and automatically hid between Shinvoa's front paws.

[Tora]

"Nothing is going to..." Shinova cut off when he heard the bushes. Shinova released a growl. "Show yourself!" Shinova demanded. In the face of danger Shinova was ready to do what he must to protect those who feared. He was not about to let anything hurt Meeko. Poised into a defensive position he waited for a response or appearance of what lurked.

Oh now calm down it's me. Just wanted to say sorry. I just want what is best for you. If you are not happy then I am not happy. I am a lot like you, you know.

Shinova at the sight of Mio was surprised. "It's you. You came after me? I thought you were just there to take care of me and would let me go at any given moment." Shinova sighed. He felt bad, because he truly thought that all Mio cared about was becoming King. He began to see a spark of goodness in Mio. "Perhaps he does have the makings of a King." Shinova thought.
