"Nice to meet you Shinova" Meeko said as he sat down on the lion cubs back.

He looked around the forest. His instincts were to always be on guard so he could not help that.

"So these... Other lions. They are your friends? You don't seem to like them much" Meeko said thoughtfully.

Nova hesitated for a moment. The thought of a pride scared her, but somehow her instincts were telling her it was the right thing to do. In truth, she was scared of the same thing happening again. She didn't want to be outcast from every pride she joined. The lioness looked to the floor sadly.

"I... I don't know. I don't think I could be part of a pride... Lions don't like me and i'd be outcast and alone again" She said sadly.

Nova I will not let that happen. You will be the run running things so you will not become an outcast. Trust me I will not make you feel like an outcast again.

"You are too kind to me Mio... After all the names I called you, pushing you away and ignoring you. Why?" Nova asked.

She was curious as to why he had shown such kindness towards her. Maybe it was because he was different, like her..

Well to be honest I like you. He said nervously. I always have even though you say you pushed me away. I thought you were just being tough. They were still drinking water.

Nova smirked somewhat, but she was only joking.

"You like me even though I was so horrible to you?" She said.

Her face softened and she took a long drink from the watering hole. She looked up at Mio and laughed playfully before pushing him into the pool.

He suddenly felt himself get wet and he laughed trying to come back with something to so say when he tried to fool Nova by stopping bubbles going to the surface to look like he drowned then swooped up and dragged her in. He finally gathered his thoughts and waited for Nova.

Nova looked down at the water and for a moment, her heart leapt into her mouth when she saw the water suddenly lying still.

"Mio..." She called uncertainly.

She then felt two paws around her neck, pulling her into the cool water too. With a loud splash Nova landed in the water and immediately span round to make a bolt for the surface.

"Don't. Do. That!" Nova said, laughing and splashing Mio in the face with some water.

Mio laughed and said Something was telling me to keep being nice to you. I know it sounds weird, but I am glad I did. Well I have always said do not be to quick before you close and openings.

"You call pulling me into the water, nice?" Nova teased, putting her paws on his head and gently pushing him under the water for a moment.

She let her paws fall away soon enough though before leaping out the water and running off into the jungle.

"Catch me if you can" She called playfully.

All right go I give you a head start. Mio counts to five and swims to catch her. He was gaining on her then when he caught up he grabbed her tail and slowed her down then pushed her underwater.
