[Tora]

Shinova waited patiently as Mio and Nova appeared to be asleep. He stretched out quietly and began to stroll outside the den. "Maybe Simba is still up." Shinova whispered. He looked up, right outside the den, to see a figure upon Pride Rock. "Simba!" he thought. Shinova began to sprint towards Pride Rock, when he saw another shadow upon the rock. "Who is that?" Shinova slowed as he pondered who it could be up there with Simba. "Maybe that it's Nala up there. It wouldn't be wrong to see her up there."

"Zira!" The name flashed through his mind as he saw her make a brake for it. "What was she talking with Simba about, and why didn't Simba just kill her?"

Zira, as Shinova thought, ran off, and he could hear Simba say "If you ever come back to the Pride Lands again you will pay with a pound of flesh!" With those words Shinova knew it was the wrong time to even attempt to talk to Simba; so he started to walk back to the Den.

Nova awoke with a start. She hadn't had the best of dreams and was shaking all over as she came too. Not to her suprise, she saw that Shinova had left and Mio was no longer here. She sighed. Why did everyone she tried to form an attachment to leave her? Even when she tried to be their friend? Sighing, she got to her feet and stretched.

Maybe I should just forget all this and go and live as a rogue... She thought to herself as she began a slow walk down to the waterhole.

Mio started to walk around his new home, but he started to miss Nova. He formed an attachment with her. He thought about her while he was getting a drink of water.

Nova looked down at her own reflection in the water as she got there. She growled, and splashed it away before she began to drink. She sighed and leapt into the cool water and began to swim laps around the watering hole, making the animals nervous to come near.

As Mio took a drink of water he remembered that Nova liked to swim. To make him feel better he decided to jump in and tale a few laps in the water hole. He could not get Nova out of his head. So he decided to run back to the Pridelands to see if Nova wanted to go live in the jungle with him. He wondered what if she will say no and laugh at him. He thought you won't know until you ask.

[Tora]

Shinova approached the Den to find no one. "Everyone has left me. What have I done to deserve this? First my parents; now them. What do I do? Starve? See Simba? Leave?" Nothing Shinova could muster in his thoughts he wanted to do. "I just want to have a life. To have something to live for. Maybe it is just not here. Maybe I should return to my pride when I get older. Maybe I should join Nova in rebellion, but what would that prove? That I am selfish; that I want only power? I want to have a sense of belonging. I want to find my place in this world.

Shinova sat down in the Den tears in his eyes. "All I want is to be loved and have a place to belong. I don't want to rebel against the only King that would have me." Anger began to fill his voice, "I just cant do it. What could she possibly have against Simba? Why does she like Scar so much? Why doesn't she just join Zira? Why does she want to make her own when there is already another rebellion in motion?" Shinova was beginning to regret running from his pride, "Would it have been better if I just died there? Would I have felt loved dying with my parents?" Shinova couldn't take it anymore, he laid down in depression. "Should I just end my life?"

As Mio came back he spotted Shinova and asked him if he wanted to go live in the jungle with him. He did not want to abandon him since he just got here and had no where else to go.

"No need to speak like that little on" Nova said, in a flat tone.

She had heard everything and she pitied the cub deeply. Nova walked over to him and lay down next to him, trying to ignore the face that he had tears in his eyes. She didn't look at him as she spoke.

"Your not the only one who doesn't know their place in the world kid. I've been on this planet for two years and i've yet to discover who I am meant to be, or what I am meant to do with my life. It's awful. Scar, saw me as a powerful lioness and he trained me to fight and defend myself. He was the closest I ever had to a father. Mine... He was horrible. I ran away from home when I was an adolescent because he was trying to shape my life. He betrothed me to a lion I hated and he forced me to be a queen in a land I hated. When I arrived here, weak and exhausted, Scar took me in. Gave me a home. A place and a purpose. He never expected anything from me, only to help with the pride and hunts" Nova said, taking a breath and looking at the cub.

"That is why I hate Simba. He took my father away from me and took over this pride. Scar may not have been the best leader, but in my eyes he was the best damned lion that ever lived" She said "That is why I want to rebel. That is why I want Simba gone. This is Scar's land and I will fight for him"

Nova looked up to see Mio and prayed that he had not overheard too.

Mio replied "Hey guys what is up?" How are you? Do you want to go live with me in the jungle? I already found a place for us to live. There is water and food everywhere. If not it is ok. If you need me that is where I will be.

[Tora]

Shinova looked up at Nova. "If it is all true, then why can't you look at me? It is because you know Scar was a murder? That what he did only led to his own death? That you would rather hide the whole truth from me, and live in your fantasy world making Simba the bad guy?" Shinova was beginning to feel anger rising inside. "I am tired of being lied to. I saw Zira! She was talking to Simba and he told her if she ever came back again it would be with a pound of flesh. I saw mercy. Why would he give her mercy and not Scar? It is because Scar didn't deserve mercy. He killed his own brother. He killed Simba's father. You talk of Simba killing your father, well what right did he have to live?" Shinova cried as he ran out of the den whispering ever so softly, "I am sorry Mio."
