Poetry Can be Magnificent if it is given the chance
It can also help people to enhance the joy for reading
All poetry is, is just a couple of lines put in stanza's
Just cuz its a poem dosn't mean it has to rhyme

To write a poem all you have to do,
Is close your eyes and imagine
Poetry can be amazing,
even if our minds are constantly changing

Just think, a poem can't drive you mad
Poems can make people see things for what they are
and not what they aren't
So really are poems that bad?

so just open your eyes and let the poets write
become one yourself even
so MLK, don't say No goodnight

I say no, it's not something that will draw as much enthuciasm, here we don't have as much poetry writters, so i'd say it's mostly a lost of time, that who wants to compete his writting skills shall instead go for the Fan Finction Contest.

As SCHD said, there aren't much poetry writers here.

People mostly like to write fan-fics though, it would be nice (even though I prefer writing fan-fics and not poetry) but... I think it is enough having the MLK Writing contest. That's just my opinion

I would say yes, because it is another form of expressing yourself. Not everyone has the ability to write short fanfic stories. Some people prefer to tell a story through a poem. We may not believe we have any poetry writers on this site, but no doubt they just have never thought to write poetry here. Considering we need to keep freedom for all there is no reason not to have one.

I actually agree with Azdgari and Tora. There's no reason not to have one, if it gets enough participants, then it was wanted, and if it doesn't, it'll die and that will be the end of it.

I don't like this idea. Yes, feel free to make a contest if you wish but I don't think many members will join in to be honest. Waste of time. This is just my opinion. ^^'
