It took Kasi a few moments for him to realize what Lina was asking. "Oh, yeah, I don't see why not," he said. It was then that he realized that Delano must have told Lina about yesterday, and she wanted to see Shrike and Amuza again as well. "When do you want to go?"

Delano didn't see any point in waiting. "We can go as soon as you're ready," he said, "we won't see them if we stay here."

Kasi nodded and slowly stood up. "Alright. Just give me a moment to wake up..." He yawned loudly and stretched, removing his morning sleepiness.

Lina was about to say that they would be ready to go as soon as Kasi was ready but Delano beat her to it. "Yeah, we're ready whenever you're ready." she was quite eager to see Amuza and Shrike again, not just to see whether they've changed a lot but also just for seeing them because they were her cubhood friends. She wasn't really sure about how the two would react to her, but she doubted there was any reason to worry.

After a bit of stretching, Kasi turned back to Delano and Lina. "Alright, we can go now," he said. "By the way, are Muroki and Umeme coming as well, or just the two of you?" He motioned at the other two, still asleep together.

Delano looked at Lina uncertainly. "Well, we didn't ask them," he told Kasi, "so should we wake them up and ask? I am sure they already have something planned for today..." He himself did not really want Muroki to come with them, thinking that it will be embarrassing enough to have Lina be there to see him get teased around by Shrike and Amuza. "We can just go, they won't mind..." he added quickly.

Lina for a moment looked at her sleeping sister and brother-in-law, thinking that Umeme might also be interested in seeing Amuza and Shrike again and that Muroki might be interested in finally meeting his cousin's friends. But she shared Delano's opinion that they might have something planned for the day and she didn't want to somehow interrupt what they had in mind. "Yeah, we should go. Maybe we'll ask them to come another time." not that she didn't want them to come, she just didn't want to see them cancel their plans just because of her asking them to.

Kasi nodded. "Alright then, let's go." He walked outside the den and waited for the other two to come out as well.

When Kasi left, Delano gave Lina a quick lick. "So, ready to go? You'll find out how different Kasi's friends are like now compared to before." He grinned. "I don't really know what I would like to learn more. That they are much better than before, or if they are mostly the same." He lead Lina outside, to where Kasi was waiting for them. "We're ready." With another quick glance at Lina to make sure that she was next to him, Delano followed his cousin out into the savanna.

Lina giggled when Delano licked her and returned the gesture, nodding at him and letting him know that she was ready to go as well. "Did you see them leave before I woke up?" she asked as they followed Kasi, a little surprised that Amuza and Shrike were not there and that they had to find Kasi in order to find them. As far as she was concerned the two were weird, but they weren't that weird to the point where they didn't mind sleeping outside during the night.

Kasi shook his head. "Oh, no, they don't usually come around these parts," he explained, "but we have a tree that's roughly half way from here and where they live now, it's where we usually meet up, so that's where we're going now."

Delano recalled the tree they rested in the shade of. That must be what Kasi was referring to. "It's not too far from here," he told Lina, "and if it will be like yesterday, the two of them should already be there." He frowned, realizing what he said. "That's not exactly a good thing..." he muttered under his breath.

Lina raised an eyebrow as Kasi explained about Amuza and Shrike's whereabouts. She had heard strange stories before, but never before did she hear about lions who live in a tree. Then again, this was Shrike and Amuza they were talking about, so she wasn't too surprised after thinking it over. It sure did explain why she hadn't seen them for so long. "That's something you don't hear everyday." she said, wanting to see just how could a tree prove to be a place where anybody could live.

Delano eyed Lina curiously, wondering if he somehow messed up in his explanation. "You'll see it when we get there," he simply added, not knowing if he should explain some more or not.

As they walked, Kasi moved closer to Lina. "Hey, I was just thinking. How long has it been since you last seen Amuza and Shrike? It's been a very long time, I know, but exactly how long?" He doubted that his friends won't recognize her, but if the last time they saw each other was when they were still cubs, there would be a lot of catch up to do.

As she and Delano followed Kasi Lina began to think about her mate's question and tried to figure out just exactly how long it had been since they had last seen each other in the meaning of talked. "Well, we would hang out a lot together as cubs... I think we stopped really seeing each other by the time of our adolescence." she couldn't tell precisely, but it was something close to that. Seeing them again was sure going to be interesting. She hoped that they wouldn't mind having her around.
