Gawd I feel so old on here, a lot of young people; some of them probably still foetuses in fact.
You feel old? But yes, people around here do seem a lot younger, and sometimes more immature, than other TLK forums. It's all good though, everything has a place.

I am not allowed to work, due to being on a benefit called Employment Support Allowance and them thinking I am not ready (due to my social anxiety). However, I do volunteer every Monday night at a Youth cafe for people with special needs : )

I had my dreamjob for a little over 2 years.
But working with family (specially when the boss is your nephew's wife, and she couldn't keep work & private seperate, she had to tell her mother-in-law everything about me) is not the way to go.
Didn't had a choice at that time, was already looking for a decent job for 5 years!

I was a secretary, helping costumers through phone/mail, e-mails, administration, dispatching (--> loved the dispatching part, I know where most places are in this country which was a huge advantage, my other 2 collegues didn't even know cities which were 5 minutes away from where the office was).

Got fired last December, was relieved and devistated at the same time, because I loved what I did.
But throughout the 2 years I was there, my collegue at the desk became very lazy and let me do everything, so my work got left behind, it just kept on getting worse, and she ruind it for me.
The boss didn't want me there anymore, so I told them to please fire me, instead of putting me in a corning, hoping I would quit myself!

Anyways, been looking for a new job ever since December, keep sending out mails every week, and out of 10 mails I'm lucky if 1 gives me a reply!!
(which untill now, obviously, has always been negative)

I don't have a job, but, during the school year, if I have time, I help at my siblings' school library. :D It's not on a daily or weekly basis - just whenever I have time. :) But I enjoy it nonetheless. :)

I, sadly, don't have a job right now. I'm looking for one, but haven't found one yet. It would be nice to have one though, just to start saving up cash.

I would like to eventually work in/own a photography gallery though. xD

I build aircraft for the X-Plane flight simulator. It's more of a hobby than a job, because it pays so poorly, but it's great experience, forces me to learn a kit if new stuff, and it goes towards paying for my hardware upgrades.

Besides, how many of you here can brag about building, and therefore owning, a plane. 8-)

I go back to work in a few weeks. I don't want to. I wish summer vacation really was 104 days.

At least you got 2 or 3 months over there ... Over here, a regular person gets only 20 days off from work, with national holidays counted in, that's about 1 month vacation in total.
Whereas teachers in Belgium get about 4 months in total.
