Vitani's Story

Meanwhile, Simba continued to fight Scar. He gave Scar the same words he had been given after the stampede to try and make Scar go away, but Scar attacked again. Simba caught it and flung Scar off the cliff. He landed before the mercy of the hyenas. Scar pleaded for his life, but was ultimately torn apart by the hyenas as the flames of the fire rose up around them. Simba rushed back to his loved ones. "It is done. Scar is dead," he said.

[Queen Elsa]

Sarabi and Nala smiled at Simba and nuzzled him. "Thanks for coming back, my son," Sarabi said. "We may have starved to death if it wasn't for you coming back." Suddenly, out of nowhere, water splashed onto the lionesses' fur. "It's raining! We haven't sen rain since Scar took the throne." Nala exclaimed.

Nuka and Vitani stared down Priderock in shock. What were they supposed to do without a father? "Mother, what's going to happen now?" Nuka asked.

Zira looked at her son. "Do nothing, my son. I will deal with him shortly," she said, beginning to plan what she was going to do when Simba asked the lionesses for a pledge of loyalty. Meanwhile, Simba nuzzled his loved ones, then Rafiki told him that it was time for him to take the throne. He went up to the edge of Pride Rock and roared out over the kingdom.

[Queen Elsa]

Sarabi, Nala, and all the other lionesses roared their agreement. Nuka and Vitani growled at the sight of Simba taking the throne. They turned and walked back into the den for the night.

The next day, Simba chose this day to declare Nala as his queen. "Nala, on this day, do you agree to become my queen?" he asked.

[Queen Elsa]

"I do." Nala replied, delighted at the thought.

It was then that Rafiki moved his staff over their heads, making it official. Just then, Zira approached them. "And just how do you expect me to accept you two as king and queen when you left my cubs fatherless and me without a mate?" she asked.

[Queen Elsa]

"We're sorry for that. We didn't mean to have your mate killed, but he killed Mufasa before, so he was never even supposed to be king. We'll be able to make this place like it was when we were cubs, especially now that the hyenas are gone." Nala answered.

Zira growled and swiped at Simba with her claws extended. "I will never accept you two. Scar was the rightful king! Remember that I witnessed Ahadi's favoritism towards Mufasa and Scar and I were cubs. Scar deserved better than the verbal abuse that he got!" she shouted.

[Meskhenet]

"Keep you paws off of my son!" Sarabi shouted. Then she turned to Simba "Simba are you all right?" After Simba comfirmed to Sarabi the he was fine, Sarabi then turned to Zira and said "If you ever lay your paws on my son again I promise you that will be the last thing you do!"
