Umeme slowed down, feeling foolish. "Sorry, mom," she muttered. Truth be told, she was in fact going to fast, but she was too eager to get back to Muroki to notice. But now that Fadhili pointed out that she was going to fast, Umeme slowed down, feeling slightly better as she slowed down to a more reasonable pace.

Delano nodded. They would often go on walks together before, so it wasn't anything new for them. "How did it go?" he asked, "see anything interesting?" He doubted Muroki found anything worth telling, but he still felt like asking. It will help pass the time until Lina will arrive back.

While Fadhili didn't really have a problem with Umeme's slightly fast pace, she was much more comfortable with walking more slowly. Thinking about how eager her daughters were to spend time with their mates made her realize that she and Moto haven't really gone out to enjoy themselves too often ever since they came back and settled down to live where their daughters lived. "We should be getting close to the den now." she said, managing to somehow see where they were from beneath the dead zebra.

Muroki simply shrugged at his brother's question, wanting to appear as if nothing special happened. "It was alright. I just walked around, nothing too interesting really happens when you take a walk." he was silent for a moment, before suddenly becoming curious about how did spending the day with Kasi and his friends go. "So how was spending the day with Kasi and his friends?"

Umeme looked further up and spotted the familiar ground next to their home. "We're almost here, come on, let's go!" So even though Fadhili had just told her to slow down, Umeme ignored the weight of the zebra she was carrying and walked faster again. Soon enough, she spotted Muroki and Delano, but was unable to call out to them. So instead, she marched on, determined to get to them as soon as she can now that they were in sight.

Delano shrugged as well. "It was alright. Much like when the two of us spend the day," he said, "just... hanging around." He didn't bother explaining that while it was fun, Lina wasn't there, which made it worse than it could have been. As he though of her, Delano looked around, hoping that he might spot the lionesses, and to his surprise, he saw them heading towards them.

"They... they're back!" he said, smiling brightly. "Muroki! They're back!" He jumped to his feet and started to run towards them.

Muroki looked at his brother with a rather blank expression as his brother jumped in excitement and ran over to greet Lina. He himself was have been just like that when he and Umeme just got together, but nowadays just walking over was adequate enough for him. By the time he arrived Delano was already there talking to Lina who could barely answer him from beneath the zebra. Rolling his eyes with a chuckle, he went over to the zebra, "Here, let me help you with that." after taking a position so to make the carrying of the zebra easier for the lionesses he looked at Umeme with a smile. "Hey." he wanted to nuzzle her but they both weren't really in a position that allowed it.

Delano didn't really care that Lina was not in the best of positions to answer him back. All he cared about was that they were together again. "I missed you so much," he said as a greeting, "I'm glad you're back." He was about to tell her some more how much he missed her, but her expression told him that a better move would be to help her out. So he moved next to her, and like Muroki and Umeme, helped her in carrying the zebra. The extra weight didn't feel very good, but it will only be for a short while, and it will be with Lina.

Umeme grinned back at Muroki as much as she can with the zebra on her back, and nodded her head slightly to show him that she understood. When he moved over to help her out, she didn't stop him, grateful for his help. As soon as they will place the zebra down next to the den, she would like to move off away from the others with him and share some of it with just him.

After a while they placed the zebra a short distance from the den's entrance. "Thank you boys!" said Fadhili with her hearty smile, "I'm going to tell your father that we're back." she added, looking at her daughters, before going inside.

As soon as they placed the zebra down Lina found herself being embraced by Delano. She did hear him say that he missed her, but she didn't think that he missed her that much. "I missed you too." said she with a chuckle as she nuzzled her mate.

Muroki looked at Umeme with a smile, "I see the hunt went well." he said with a chuckle, "Not that I expected it not to go well, seeing as you were part of it." Muroki would never miss a chance to compliment her, the way she would sometime giggle when he did always made his compliments even more worth saying.

Moto was in the den when Fadhili walked in. He smiled at her, knowing that she had gone on a hunt. "Hey, how did it go?" he asked, giving her a loving lick. "Heard you hunted with the girls. Did they surprise you?" he wanted to hear how much Lina and Umeme had improved at hunting.

As soon as they dropped the zebra off, Delano embraced Lina in a tight hug. However, instead of nuzzling her back, he began to lick the blood off her, even though they were about to eat and get messy again. "You look much better when you're not covered in our dinner," he said, grinning, "red isn't you're natural color at all."

Near bye, Umeme was feeling quite hungry. She reached out and tore of a large part of the zebra, motioning for Muroki to follow her as she dragged it off. Once she decided that they were far enough from the others, she put the meal down. "The only hard part about the hunt was getting to it, and bringing it back," she said, beaming. "because apart from the zebra being quite far away, the hunt went really well." She gave Muroki a nuzzle before tearing into the meat.

Fadhili smiled when Moto licked her and licked him back. "Oh yes, they have very much improved since the last time I've seen the two of them hunt." her tone said that she clearly didn't expect anything less from her daughters.

Lina began to giggle when Delano started cleaning the blood of off her, and her being ticklish also had something to do with it. Perhaps she should get herself dirty like that more often. "Then what is my natural color?" she asked with a smile, wanting to hear Delano's opinion.

Muroki was slightly confused when Umeme motioned for him to follow her but he followed her without any objections. Now that he was thinking about it, taking a part of the kill for them to eat on their own was a great idea. At first he just stood next to her as she tore into the meat, wanting to let her have her fill first since it was her who hunted and not him, but when she motioned for him that he could start eating he began eating as well.

Moto smiled back. "That's good to hear," he said, standing up and leading Fadhili back outside. "So I take it for once, you did not have to do all the work?" He grinned, feeling like teasing about his daughters. He knew that when he had last seen them hunt, Umeme and Lina needed Fadhili to bring down the prey and that without her, they would have failed.

Delano reached out with a paw and pressed it on Lina's side where her fur was clean. "This is," he said, smiling at her. "not this..." he pressed where some of her fur was covered with dirt, and used his paw to brush it off.

Umeme ate quickly, both because she was hungry, but also to finish the meal so that she will be able to talk with Muroki. Soon enough, she took her last bite and sat back. "So how was your day?" she asked, beginning to clean herself from bits of zebra. "Your first day without me since... well, as long as I can remember."

Fadhili shook her head as she walked with Moto outside. "No I did not, and I can guarantee that they would have pulled it off just as well without me." she was about to say that she couldn't have taught them better, but her tone was already boastful enough so there was no need for it.

Lina giggled as Delano told her that he thought her fur color fitted her best. "Well I'll do my best to stay clean from now on." she said with a grin, "But you can always lend me a paw." she giggled once more before looking at the dead zebra, "Let's eat, I'm hungry." with that she began eating.

Muroki finished eating a few moments after Umeme and looked at her with a smile. "It wasn't horrible." he said, sitting down next to her, "I just took a walk like Delano and I used to do a lot in the past. You obviously know that this day would have been a million times better if I could share it with you." he noticed she had missed a few spots while cleaning herself, "You missed a few spots..." he leaned over and began cleaning what was left for her.
