[Private] Balto II: Redemption

Aleu nodded. Soon, the rabbit came into view. With Kalu's help, she snuck up on it and dispatched it quickly. "How was that for a first try?" she asked proudly.

Balto agreed with his brother-in-law. "Come on. Let's see if we can find a cave or something. Hopefully, it won't be occupied," he said, beginning the search.

Kalu watched how she caught the rabbit "Hmm a little rough around the edges..." he saw her glare at him and laughed "But all in all you did really well for your first time. Now do you think you can stomach eating it?" he snickered taking a bite out of the fresh kill.

Steele looked around with Star finding a small cave as he peeked his head in and barked not having anything come running out he felt good about it. "I think this will do just fine what do you think Star."

Aleu gave a small smile, and then took a bite out of the rabbit. "It's not bad," she said after swallowing it. For a few long moments, she just sat there staring at Kalu.

Star looked at the spot that Steele had found. "It's great, Steele," he said. Balto nodded. "Yes. Now, let's get comfortable and sleep. We have a long walk ahead of us," he said.

Aleu gave a small smile, and then took a bite out of the rabbit. "It's not bad," she said after swallowing it. For a few long moments, she just sat there staring at Kalu.

Star looked at the spot that Steele had found. "It's great, Steele," he said. Balto nodded. "Yes. Now, let's get comfortable and sleep. We have a long walk ahead of us," he said.

Kalu took another bite out of the rabbit before swallowing it down trying to pay as little attention to Aleu as possible. "Come on we should find someplace to sleep and I know of an old den that's near." Kalu started off knowing Aleu was behind him. Once they made it to the small den he quickly laid down in a corner.

Aleu entered the den and found a place to sleep. "Thanks for the help you've given me, Kalu," she said with a small smile. She curled up and prepared to rest.

"You're welcome Aleu now rest up you're going to need it." Kalu fell asleep having his nightmare return. He could see a shadowy figure calling his name then the red eyes and figures of wolves surrounding it before they jumped and consumed the figure. "Noooo!!" he screamed waking up panting heavily seeing the bright sun and Aleu sitting there watching him.

Steele got up stretching and yawning for the fuss of finding Aleu he had to admit being out in the wild was very beautiful. He saw star wake up next he could see Balto twitching in his sleep thinking Balto was having a dream or nightmare "For being out in the wild it is peaceful right man."

Aleu went over and put a compassionate paw on him. "Kalu, what's wrong? Did you have a nightmare?" she asked, trying to make him feel better.

Balto finally awoke with a shout. "That was horrible. It was a nightmare about a raven and a pack of wolves," he said, trying to make sense of it all.

Kalu groaned walking away from her "I'm fine don't worry about me." he growled but seeing her concern he let out a sigh "I'm sorry Aleu I have a nightmare alot of the times when I sleep it makes for alot of sleepless nights." she could tell that there was something wrong.

Steele looked back hearing Balto's dream and chuckled "Don't look to me for help I'd just say you're crazy." Steele laughed stepping outside the cave hearing him making cawing sounds.

Balto growled and headed outside. "Nevermind Steele, it's probably nothing. Now, let's get a move on. The sooner we start looking for Aleu, the sooner we find her," he said, moving on.

Aleu sat down next to the male wolf. "What's your nightmare about?" she asked.
